Iona's P.O.V.
I ran, if he caught me he'd treat me like the others. I'd broke so many rules, he'd have to punish me. A single tear ran down my face as I ran, I ignored the beauty of the woodland, in favour of letting my wolf be aware of danger. Her ears flattened as he ran closer.
I closed my eyes and concentrated on dispersing my scent. Gone, I hid behind a tree, hiding your scent wasn't worth it if you didn't hide your body.
"What are we hiding from?" asked a voice behind me, I screamed bloody murder. "Shut up" he growled, spinning me round, it was him, Beta Eli. I shut up. "Good, now let's get back to the pack house" he said, he placed a hand on my shoulder, he towered above me.
We walked silently back to the pack house, I hung my head low. As we walked through the back door another boy I didn't recognize greeted us,
"Eli, you've finally found her" he said grabbing him in that hug thing guys do, "and hello Iona, it's lovely to meet you" he said turning to me, I ducked my head low, "she doesn't talk much" he commented to Eli.
"Lucas" called our Alpha.
I had to move, he'd hurt me like before if I didn't, I squirmed out of the hold Eli still had me in and ran to the door,
"Woah, don't run, again" said Eli, he grabbed me by the shoulder gently. Our Alpha walked in,
"What's going on here?" He asked but didn't wait for an answer, "Lucas, you should be mingling, and Elijah you should be near him, also mingling, Omega, shouldn't you be carrying around drinks?" I quickly nodded and hurried to do as he commanded.
"Wait, Iona we need to talk to you" called, 'Lucas', I paused, he would be the new Alpha, to that there was no doubt, power flowed around him, stronger than Eli and stronger than our current Alpha.
"Lucas" growled our Alpha, "she is an Omega, the bottom of the pack, you shouldn't be near her, and neither should you Elijah, now go" he ordered to me. Something held me in place, I couldn't move, even if I wanted to, and I certainly wanted to. "Omega" he shouted. "Leave", I still didn't move,
"Uncle" said Lucas softly, "maybe you could ask her?" He continued, "Iona, I am very sorry but could you please carry drinks around, so none of the pack go thirsty, it wouldn't do for an Alpha to allow his pack to suffer, any of his pack" he said kindly, the dig was aimed at his uncle, I ducked my head in understanding and hurried to get the drinks.
I walked quickly into the other room with the tray of drinks, someone barged into me knocking the drinks, I stared in shock as the tray tumbled from my grip. Someone grabbed the tray and drinks before they reached the floor, another boy I didn't recognize, he smiled kindly at me, I lowered my head,
"Thank you" I said softly taking the tray back from him,
"I'm Matthew" he said holding a hand out, I gingerly shook it,
"Iona" I said quietly, "I'd better let others have their drinks" I said, indicating with the tray.
"I'm sure they'll survive" he said taking the drinks from me, he put them on a nearby table, "there you go, now they can help themselves" he told me with a grin, a small smile slipped on my face,
"Why would you want to talk to that?" asked a screeching voice; Alice,
"Pardon," He asked,
"She's an omega, and you're a third surely you wouldn't want to deal with that" she told him, he looked at me, I lowered my head further,
"She's a member of the pack, I should know the pack much like Lucas and Eli" he informed her,
"She's weak, she's stupid, dumb and can't protect herself, what more do you need to know" she said looking at her nails, my fist clenched, that wasn't true, I could fight, far better than she could... I'm not stupid, I get A's and B' s she averages a D, and I'm not weak,
"What's going on here?" asked Alpha,
"Iona spilt the drinks" said Alice, a blatant lie, he looked at me,
"Obviously you can't do the simplest task, now get out of my sight" he ordered, this was the usual, so I hurried to leave his sight, if I didn't he would hurt me, he always did.
"But sir, she's pack, doesn't she need to be here?" asked Matthew, silly boy, he'd only get in trouble.
