thoughts from a few miles up and and a thousand miles away

the city is shimmering and hazy and crystal clear

and my lungs aren't drawing in air anymore because my eyes are drinking in everything and who needs oxygen?

look, my dearest, how the stars have come down tonight and pressed into the earth below us

and all the rest of space is filling up and shifting around the souls in perpetual motion

and the sky is wrapped around the world beneath us and kisses the clouds at the curvature of the earth and strings of fairy lights wink up from along the highways and i can't breathe-

i could spend all of the words in the world and the rest of my life and then some trying to paint this picture but you'd still need to see it to believe it

fly with me, darling. my eyes are drunk enough, and you're beyond owed a taste.
