35 || A boyfriend girlfriend thing
Carter King was my boyfriend.
Wow.
I'd never get tired of hearing or saying that.
Of course I was bursting to tell the girls everything that happened during the dance. So that Sunday night I held a sleepover. An emergency sleepover.
"The party has arrived!" Chanel bursts through my room doors followed by Ivy and Nikole.
"Let the emergency sleepover commence," Nikole spreads out her sleeping bag and the girls follow. Then we all lay down.
"So what's up?" Ivy asks. "You were awfully quiet on the ride home back from the dance."
I take a deep breathe and grin. "Carter and I are dating."
I kid you not they all scream.
Chanel tackles me in a hug. "I'm so happy for you!"
"Girl what happened!" Nikole screeches. "Last I knew you were moping and going on about how you were giving up on him."
I explain in great detail what happened after Ivy left to go to the restroom. They listen attentively, like children being read a story.
"That is so romantic!" Chanel gushes.
"What'd I tell you?" Ivy nudges me. "Eh? Eh?"
"Shut up," I laugh.
"Take that Vanessa!" Nikole karate kicks the air and we laugh harder.
"She's gonna be so shook when she finds out," Ivy grins evilly. "I can't wait to see her face."
I hug a pillow to my chest. "Who cares about her? I can't wait to see Carter." I smile dreamily.
"Aubrey's in looooove!" Chanel teases me.
"Ooooohhh!" The girls giggle and I cover my face with the pillow.
"Shut up."

The next day at school I'm grabbing my books in the morning for class. When I shut my locker Carter is standing right behind it. Normally this would freak me out but now I can only smile.
"Hi boyfriend."
He smirks. "Hi girlfriend."
Then he kisses me and I internally sigh a blissful sigh.
I'll never get tired of kissing him.
"Whoop whoop!" There are loud cheers coming from down the hallway and we break away from each other to see Trevor and Ryan coming toward us pounding their chests. The girls are following.
"Stop acting like monkeys," Ivy rolls her eyes. Chanel as usual laughs at their antics.
"Finally," Trevor says reaching us. "I thought you guys would keep continuing that friendship crap forever!"
