I lunged at the guard, and I ripped into the metal coating his scales. I unhinged my jaws and spat my venom everywhere. My tail thrashed into the guards side, making him tumble over.

The guard blew a puff of fire into the air, igniting the dark area. He scrambled to his feet, and attacked. His metal claws ripped into my now unprotected scales. His barb tail tried to take a stab at my heart, but I dodged. The SandWing's jaws flew open and he blew a big tentacle of flame at my face.

I was temporarily blinded, but I slid underneath the guards body. His underbelly was hanging wide open, as if I wasn't going to attack there. I raked my slender talons down his body.

A cry of agony exploded, and the whole area shook.

As I clawed my way out, the dragon was stripping off his protection. I looked to see that my touch had got up into his armour and it was tearing away his skin. I covered my ears as the guard clutched his underbelly and screamed in pain. His black eyes started to stream tears.

It was him or me. You did the right choice.

Did I make the right choice? If I had just been murdered...

"NO!" Burn yelled. "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO DIE-"

"Blister, Burn, and Blaze! What is the meaning of this?" An incredibly large SandWing walked out of the shadows, guards circling around her.

Blaze looked absolutely horrified. "It was all them! They made me-"

"SHUT IT!" Blister roared at the top of her lungs. "We can explain-"

"I don't need an explanation," Oasis said. "But I do need you to release these poor dragons."

"WHAT?" Burn yelled. "I AM NOT-"

"Oh yes you are, daughter," Oasis urged. "I think it's quite sad that you thought terrorizing me would get you a castle, and holding innocent dragons is certainly not right."

Burn huffed and walked over to my friend's cells. Pretty soon they were all released, but I still stood in my blood covered cell. Burn was just about to release me as a small SandWing scurried out from one of the hallways.

"Your majesty," she dipped down in a bow. "Queen Pearl is here to speak with you."

Heck to the no. Queen Pearl. I did not need her in my hectic life. She hates my dad's guts, which meant I hated her guts.

"Pearl?" Oasis asked. "What an odd coincidence. Bring the dragonets too."

Burn smugly stuck her talons in my chains, and they popped open. I shook them off my ankles, and I trotted over to my friends. A smile was on each and everyone of their faces. (Even Inferno's. Miracles do happen).

"Right this way." Oasis marched towards the exit.

I followed behind, knowing this was not going to end well.

Pearl stood before me with her massive aqua wings spread out. Her milky green eyes seemed to pierce through my soul. The large starburst glow patterns lit up, making the throne room a lot brighter than it usually was.

"Bow," Stormchaser whispered through the corner of her mouth.

"No," I said stubbornly. "I'm not bowing to her."

Stormchaser lifted her tail and thumped me in the back. I clashed onto my knees, (almost) like a bowing position.

Pearl examined all of us. "Hmmm." I could feel her eyes looking into me. "Who's this?"

"That's Jinx," Blaze giggled. "She's a nasty hybrid. A SeaWing and a RainWing. Like who would ever want to have a crossbreed child? I surely don't want to. It would be disgusting to say that you have a child who's two different tribes. They obviously aren't going to look right. SandWing's are most definitely the prettiest tribe-"
