I've got to let it go...

One girl starts to scream repetitively. It's kind of annoying but it's how I feel on the inside so I don't blame her.

Ryan sets up the mic while this is going on, looking nervously at the band but still happy.

Finally the screaming stops, great now the front guitarist has started playing and everyone's yelling again.

"Yellow diamonds in the light, and we're standing side by side." Ryan starts. His voice has improved a lot since I've last heard him... wait is he singing a Rihanna song?

He sways around the stage behind his microphone.

He's gorgeous.

He continues the song, almost two minutes into the performance he leans into where the guitarist is standing. I can't help but be a little jealous as he gleams into his eyes saying "We found love."

Though I don't need him. He's a waste of time. I try to look away and tell Sarah that they suck and we should go but I can't.

The guitars start to get heavier and Ryan repeats the chorus to match.

He's happy, he's not crying in a pool of tears begging me to pity him, show some mercy, love him.

He's fine.

Am I?

The song ends he smiles, hugs the guitarist and exits the stage.

"Okay let's go! I'm glad we stayed. He was pretty good." Sarah beams at me.

"Yeah." I shrug and try to give a half smile back.
