I walked around campus, I couldn't tell you if it was east or west. I was lost that's all I knew. I look at a map and struggling to figure out where I was, I feel myself bump into another person and I drop all of my papers plus spill his smoothie all over him. "I am so sorry." I look up to meet the gaze of Luke Kennard, the man who is having a killer year at Duke this year. "Sweetheart, don't worry about it." He was more concerned about me. "You're lost." He stated, I nod my head and he hands me the last of my papers. "I will buy you another smoothie." He shook his head and chuckled. "That is the least of my worries. Where are you trying to get to?" He asked looking at the top paper and I spoke softly slightly embarrassed. "My car. I forgot where I parked this morning. He chuckled softly at me and looked at my parking pass and lead the way. While we walked we talked about basketball, class, family, and even favorite places to eat. "Here you are." I thank him over and over again and he smiled at me. "Catch you later, Mads."
At practice that afternoon, Everyone could tell Luke was hit by the love bug. The way he spoke about Madison just made the guys laugh a little he hadn't been this smitten with a girl in a while. "She's beautiful, has big green eyes." He went on to Frank, who knew exactly who it was. He had Chemistry with her in the afternoons. He got a bright idea and went off to his dorm. Later that night Frank called Madison over to his dorm to study, only when she showed up it wasn't Frank. "Luke?" She asked softly and looked at the dorm number. "Hey Mads, what are you doing here?" She held up her Mac. "Studying with Frank, am I in the right place?" Luke nodded and rolled his eyes. "Yes, Frank parent trapped us." She giggled at his joke that made no sense. They sat and talked more in depth about how they plan to go on about their college careers.
A few weeks later Luke finally asked me out on a date, I changed my clothes putting my coral dress on along with some heels and a cardigan to go over it. "You look absolutely beautiful." She heard a deep voice from behind her, she turned seeing Luke as he walked over pressing a kiss to her cheek they walked out of the house and strolled campus before driving to the Italian restaurant, Madison smiled and got out of the car holding Luke's hand they were seated and had a nice dinner and Luke stood up in front of her. "Madison, these past few weeks have been the best I've ever had. You make me feel like I am on cloud-9. I am obsessed with you, and your eyes, and that beautiful smile. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked holding out a small pink rose. Madison nodded looking straight into his eyes as he leaned in to kiss her lips gently and lovingly.
