Hometown Show

Jordan's POV
I was fast asleep in the arms the arms of my girlfriend until I heard giggles. Then a blinding light turned on that caused me to bury my face into my girlfriend's neck. "Guys!!! Get up!! It's time to start this tour!!" Demi says in a sing song tone. "Nooo!!" I whine as I feel Nicky chuckle at my childlike behavior. "Come on Princess. You gotta show me where you grew up." Nicky says in her raspy morning voice. I open my eyes to meet her clear blue ones and smile. "Okay let's go Rockstar." I say as she smiles and kisses me. "Alright you two we don't have all day." Demi says speaking up. I stuck out my tongue at her and got up out of my bed. Demi left to go fix us some breakfast while we got ready. I was dressed in a Paramore shirt that was Demi's and an old pair of black ripped up skinny jeans along with some black converse. I slipped on Nicky's black hoodie that she let me borrow when it was rained on us while we took Batman out for a walk. "Damn babe maybe I should let you borrow my clothes more often." Nicky says wrapping her arms around me from behind and kissing my cheek. I smile and gave her a kiss on the lips. "I could say the same about you Baby." I say as she wears an old Twenty one Pilots shirt of mine with some regular jeans and black boots. Her dirty blonde hair is down but also a little messy but to cover it up she had a SnapBack on backward. "So the guys are taking their van with our equipment over there so we can't ride with them. Demi and Marissa are taking your sister and Mason and my brother over. So looks like I'm stuck with you." Nicky says explaining who's riding with who. "Aw man a whole hour and a half with you. Ugh this is gonna suck!" I say pretending to complain as she acts offended and slaps my arm playfully. "I'm only joking! Relax Rockstar." I say laughing as I kiss her lips again. "You better be. If you know what's good for ya Princess." Nicky says once we finished getting ready we head downstairs to see Marissa and Demi setting down chocolate chip pancakes on the table. "Yes! My favorite!!" I say sitting down at the table and putting a couple on the plate. "You're welcome it was my idea shorty." Marissa says ruffling my hair. "Hey watch it! I just did my hair." I say with my mouth full. "Don't talk with your mouth full!" Demi scolds me as I swallow the pancake. "Sorry Mom." I say jokingly as she rolls her eyes and takes a seat next to Marissa. We all sat around the table eating and talking about how excited we all were until the doorbell rang. "That must be your sister and Mason." Demi says as I smile. Since Lacey has approved of Nicky they are basically like best friends. "When's your brother coming again?" I ask Nicky "Um he'll be here in like 5 minutes." She answers as I nodded. Then I feel someone plant a kiss my head. "There's my favorite sister!" Lacey says I look up at her and smile "I'm your only sister." She shakes her head and chuckles "That is very true and I'm so glad!" "So Jordan you ready for your first show?" Mason asks as I smile and nod "I have so much adrenaline in me right now. I just can't wait to get out there." I say practically bouncing in my seat. "Demi did you give her sugar?" Lacey asks looking at the superstar with an eyebrow raised. "Don't look at me! It was Marissa's idea." Demi says putting the blame on her girlfriend "Hey! What the hell babe." Marissa says pouting "Aw im sorry baby." Demi says kissing her cheek making Marissa turn a deep shade of red. "Alright well we gotta get going. Nicky where's Mike?" Lacey says as Nicky is about to answer the door opens. "Did someone say my name?" Mike says as we shake our heads and chuckle. "Late as per usual older brother." Nicky says as he rolls his eyes at her. "I don't wake up looking this good little sister." He says as she laughs. "Alright we'll let's roll! See ya munchkins!" Marissa says ruffling our hair much to our protest. "Bye Kid, Bye Kid's Girlfriend!" Demi says kissing our cheeks. Also much to our protest. We said goodbye to the others as we head out to my car. I decided that I planned on leaving my car at home anyway that we would make the trip up there in it. Dad said he would take care of it and he also agreed to letting the boys leave their van in the garage since we had a tour bus set up for us. An hour of car karaoke into the road trip later we had finally made it into to town and I smiled as I saw the familiar highway that I used to take to get to school. On our way to my house we heard sirens going off and red and blue lights. I looked at my speedometer and I wasn't speeding and I was using my tail lights. Then I looked in the rear view mirror and saw Officer James. "Babe what are you doing pull over." Nicky says in her strict voice. I looked over at her and smirked. "You know I've always want to be in a high speed chase." I say as she looks at me like I was crazy. "Jordan I mean it pull over." She says as I just shake my head and floor it. "Oh my god babe!" Nicky says almost yelling as I speed down the highway as soon as I'm done having my fun I slow down and pull over. As soon as I do Nicky freaking out as Officer James steps out of his car. "What the hell was that Jordan?!" Nicky says raising her voice. "Chill babe watch this." I say smiling as she rolls her eyes at me. Officer James knocks on the window and I roll it down. "Jordan I thought I told you not to speed on this Highway." He says shaking his head "Aw come on Officer James Nicky was starting to get suspicious so I had to do something to freak her out" I chuckle as Nicky just looks at us wide eyed with her mouth open. "Close your mouth Rockstar you're gonna swallow flies." I say as Officer James chuckles "Babe how do you know a cop." Nicky asks "You really think I bailed Demi out of Jail with no help. This guy right here didn't believe I could do it so I proved him wrong." I say gesturing to Officer James. "It's nice to finally meet you Nicky, this one here wouldn't shut up about you over the phone. I trust that you won't break her heart." He says "I can promise that I'm not planning to Sir." Nicky says smiling at him. "Call me Officer James. Sir sounds too formal." He says as she nods and I chuckle. While he may be a cop he never wanted anything to be "too formal". "Anyway as I was saying Jordan no more speeding. I'm letting you off with a warning this time." He says scolding me. "You got it Officer James. I'll go a slow 12 miles an hour." I say sarcastically giving him a salute as he shook his head and chuckled. As I drove back to the house I grew up in I sighed as I parked in the driveway. "Well this is it." I say as I look over at Nicky and she smiles nervously at me while fixing her hair and shaking her head. I knew she was nervous about meeting my dad though I told her she had basically nothing to worry about she still wanted to make a good impression on him. I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers. "He's going to love you babe. Don't worry so much." I say kissing her knuckles "I am worried baby. If the King hates me he's not going to let me anywhere near you Princess." She says making me chuckle. "Nicky Seriously my dad is the coolest dad you'll ever meet. He's not super overprotective of me. His philosophy is if you treat me good and I'm happy then he's happy. Also say you like the Red Sox because he's Boston,Massachusetts." I explain remembering when I was Five and he dressed me head to toe in Red Sox gear to my first ever Red Sox game. "Well that should be easy since I am a Red Sox fan. Anyway let's go in before I change my mind" I chuckle and got out of the car and ran over to the other side to open the door for her. "Thanks Princess." Nicky says smiling and kissing my cheek. We walked up the front steps hand in hand. I rang the doorbell and we waited for maybe a minute before my dad opened the door. He stood there 6'2 man with the biggest smile on his face. "Hey Munchkin!" He says calling me by the nickname he gave me as a kid. I rolled my eyes and smiled at him "Hey Dad! How have you been?" I ask as he engulfs me in a hug. "I'm better now that you're here. Who's this?" He asks confused I smile as I grabbed Nicky's hand again and smile at her. "Dad this is my girlfriend,Nicky this is my Dad." I say introducing them. "It's nice to finally meet you Mr.Jones" Nicky says extending her hand to shake his hand. He smiles and nods "The pleasure is all mine Nicky. Red Sox fan by any chance?" He asks as I roll my eyes at him. "Seriously Dad?" I ask him as he chuckles "I'm only joking. Come on in. Hope you guys are hungry. I made spaghetti!" He says I smile. He knows Spaghetti is my favorite meal so I'm assuming that's why he made it. We went into the house and ate and chatted for a while. Dad actually ended up telling this really embarrassing story about how this one time on a camping trip I thought there was a bear outside Lacey and I's tent but it was actually just him in a bear suite. "So I went up to their tent and made all these bear noises and both Lacey and Jordan ran for the hills crying bear." He finishes the story laughing with Nicky joining him as I rolled my eyes at both of them. "In our defense we never knew that the costume even existed until that very moment." I say just as the door opened "Oh god did Dad tell the bear story to Nicky?" Lacey says examining the situation. "I tried to stop him but Nicky encouraged him." I say as Nicky chuckles "It's not my fault if your dad wants to embarrass you. Besides that's payback for that time Mike told you about 8th grade and you laughed your ass off." She says as I laugh remembering the story and she glares daggers at me. "Period stories are always the best stories. Besides I can't believe you called your brother instead of your mom." I say still chuckling as she playfully punches my arm. "I wanted a tampon not a 'I told you so' lecture." She says defending herself. "Alright well I hate to interrupt this lunch but Demi needs the both of you at the venue for Soundcheck." Lacey says "Aw don't tell me you guys are leaving already." Dad says I smiled at him sadly I hadn't seen him in about a year not since the accident. "Sorry Dad duty calls right?" I say as he nods understanding "But you'll be at the show right Mr.Jones?" Nicky asks as Dad smiles and nods "I wouldn't miss it for the world." He says as I smile and hugged him goodbye. I gave Lacey a quick hug as Nicky and I headed to the garage and that's where my motorcycle was. "Hey baby." I say talking to the bike. I hadn't ridden it since before I left for college. Mom insisted I didn't take it with me since she was worried that I would have gotten in a horrible accident if i did and so I left it. "So this is the famous bike that you and Demi rode off into the sunset with." Nicky says as I chuckle recalling how Demi told the story of my graduation day. "Yeah this is it. Wanna ride babe?" I ask "Do I have another choice?" She asks taking the helmet that I was holding out to her. I put mine on just as I hit the switch that opened the garage. "Hold on Rockstar!" I yelled over the engine motor as I started it up and left the driveway. I felt Nicky grip my waist and I smirked and speeded down the highway. As I parked my bike outside the auditorium I took off my helmet and looked back at Nicky. "You okay Rockstar?" I ask her chuckling "Eh I've been faster bikes." She says as I gasped and hit her shoulder playfully. "Chill I'm only kidding." She says laughing and kissing my lips. "You better be." I say kissing her lips again. "Hey would you quit making out. We're already late for our soundcheck party." Matt says as we both chuckle at our sassy friend who was currently rolling his blue eyes at us. "We'll be in there in a sec Matt." I say "Man you guys are worse than us." He says as we chuckle "let's go before Demi kills us babe." Nicky says as I nodded and went inside with her. "Alright good you're here. Now everyone in a circle." Demi says as we did as she said and did a little prayer. "Any advice?" I ask as she smiles and shakes her head. "No you guys are ready for this." She says as we all exchanged a smile. We head on stage and the crowd goes wild. I look out to see a crowd of maybe 20 to 30 people but man were they loud. "Hey guys!" I say as I sat on one of the stools they had set up for us. Matt sat on this box like thing that was a percussion instrument that I can't exactly remember the name of. While Chris sat beside him with the base he had picked to use for the soundcheck. I sat beside him with and Nicky was next to me with her acoustic guitar. We all had mics set up in front of us so we could answer questions during the Q and A portion. "Man for a Soundcheck party you guys are loud." Nicky says as the audience cheers and I hear a girl scream "Marry me Nicky!!" "Hey hands off she's mine." I say playfully glaring at the girl as the audience laughs and cheers. "Aw! Baby you're so cute when you're jealous." Nicky says pinching my cheek as I roll my eyes. "Alright these people didn't come here you two act all cute and shit. Let's get this show started." Chris says as cheers erupt from the audience. "Alright well then this is Believe in Me by none other than our very own superstar Demi Lovato. I look over at Demi while saying that and she rolled her eyes at me and stuck out her tongue which made me chuckle. After that we did a couple more songs and then it was time for Fan Questions. "Alright last question!" Demi announces "Aww Damn it!" I say as the audience laughs. Then Demi heads over to a little girl who couldn't be any older than 6. "Hi!" She says in a cute voice. "Awww hi sweetheart! What's your name?" Nicky says as the boys and I are smiling so widely at the small child. "Nicole." She answers shyly "Hi Nicole!" We all say smiling at her "What's your question cutie?" Matt asks she smiles at him "Um I was wondering when you guys were kids what did you guys want to be?" She asks as my heart melts at how shy she's being. "Okay Demi bring her up here I want to give her a hug!" I say as Demi laughs and brings Nicole on stage. We all gave her a hug and I let her sit in my lap. "Well to answer your question. I wanted to be an astronaut." Matt says "You in space? Yeah no bad idea." I say as Matt sticks his tongue out at me and I do the same to him laughing. "I wanted to be a stunt double. I was a weird kid like I would climb trees and jumped off of them. Broke my arm doing that when I was 10." Chris says "Damn dude but I gotta say with the amount of backflips you can do I'm surprised you didn't make it." Nicky says "Well when I was a kid I didn't actually know what I wanted to do. I just knew I wanted to help people in anyway that I could." I answer her as she smiles "And I was born to be a Rockstar!" Nicky says as I roll my eyes at her and Nicole giggles "No I'm just kidding um i wanted to play Softball professionally." I smiled "You'd great in that uniform babe." I say as she pushes me playfully "Babe there's a kid on stage." Nicky says as Nicole laughs while this is happening. "What do you want to be when you grow up hun?" Chris asks her as he holds the mic up to her. "I want to be like you guys." She says as all of our hearts melted and hugged her. "You can do anything you set your mind to. You hear me? Never let anyone tell you can't do something because I promise you that you can." I say as she nods and smiles after a few more hugs we send her on her way. "Well that took longer than expected." Demi says "She's cute! Can you blame us?" I ask as she laughs and shakes her head. "Exactly anyway this is our last song for the Soundcheck party." I start saying and look over at Nicky. "This is Rhythm of Love by The Plain White Tees." She says as she and the boys count it off. Nicky and I made it into a duet so I sang the first verse and the first chorus. Then she sang the second verse and we'd sing the chorus together and for the bridge we just switched off at every other line. We thanked them and said that we'd see them later. After Soundcheck we had our Meet and Greet which was super fun. We took a lot of silly pictures with our fans and we even had a few fans who cried which I didn't think we could have that effect on someone. "Alright bye it was nice meeting you." I say to the 15 year old girl named Scarlet we had just finished doing a picture where we all were gathered around her doing silly poses. "Thank you guys! I love you so much!" She says "Aww we love you too Sweetie!" Nicky says giving her a hug. She waved goodbye to us and then she was out. "Was she the last one?" I ask Demi as she nods "Aw I wanted to meet more." Chris says "I know me too!" Matt says "Hey guys I think the window in our green room opens." Nicky says as we all smile at eachother. We raced to the green room and opened the window and saw a huge crowd of people cheering for us. We took turns sticking our heads out the window and waving. "Okay now I'm definitely pumped up!" I say "Good cause there's about 500 people waiting for you to get back out there." Demi says as my eyes widen "Whoa that's a huge number." I say as I sit on the couch. "Nerve wracking isn't it?" Demi asks sitting next to me as I nodded. We were about 20 minutes before we performed and I felt adrenaline pumping through my veins but I was also very nervous. And that's when Demi gave me the same advice that she gave me when I had to do a solo for choir. "Just think of them in their underwear." I roll my eyes as she laughs "Not helping Dems." I say "Okay well how about this. Yeah 500 is a big number but those 500 people came to see you. They came because they loved your sound and they love you as a person. And if you mess up they won't care. I've messed up millions of times on stage. Do I get embarrassed of course but does it affect my performance nope. So just think of it in that sense okay?" I nodded and smiled at her "Yeah Thanks Demi." I say "It's what I'm here for. Now come on I think we have a show to start." She says we all gathered in a circle once more and did a prayer and then we put our hands in the middle and shouted Dream Chasers. And then we were on stage. I heard the introduction to La La Land play as I ran on stage. "Whats up Sacramento!" I yelled as cheers erupted and I started singing. As I sang I ran around stage and made eye contact with some of my old teachers, Friends im pretty sure I saw my crush from freshman year too. We were about half way through the set and that was when I decided to sit down and talk with my hometown. "Wow thank you so much!" I say as I look around the crowd. "I cannot tell you how humbling it is to be back here in my hometown. I mean I see a lot of my old friends from high school here and I even see some of my old teachers. Like you guys have no idea how much of a throwback this is for me. Anyway I'm so proud to kick off this tour where it all started for me. Music has always been a huge part of my life and I just feel so lucky to be able to do what makes me happy. Although there is one person I want to thank. And that person is My Mom." I took in a deep breath and let it out as I looked up at the sky. And somehow I knew she was smiling at me and looking at me with a face of love. "My Mom unfortunately died last year in a horrible accident. I so wish that she could be here today but I feel that she is here. So Mom this ones for you. I love you." I nodded at Chris as he started playing  Nightingale on the piano. As I sang the song I couldn't help but to let a few tears slip from my eyes. I'm pretty sure I saw my sister and Dad cry as well. As we finished out the concert with Confident we all ran off stage. But then we started hearing the crowd shout "encore,encore,encore!" "What do you say guys?" I ask my bandmates "Hell yes!" Chris says "I'll grab my bass!" Matt says and Nicky just goes straight for her guitar. I grabbed my mic and I told them the song for the encore. "Let's blow the roof off this place!" I yelled into the mic as the crowd cheered. Nicky started playing the introduction to Still Into You by Paramore and I smirked as I walked over to her.

Then I wrapped my free arm around her shoulders as I sang
I need the other one to hold you make you feel make you feel better. It's not a walk in the park to love eachother. But when our fingers interlock can't deny can't deny you're with it. Cause after all this time I'm still into you.
"I wanna see you guys go crazy right now!" I yelled just before the beat dropped.

I started with the crowd and then I looked over at Nicky.
And baby even our worst nights I'm into you I'm into you. Let em wonder how we got this far cause I don't need to wonder at all. Yeah after all this time I'm still into you.
I kissed Nicky's cheek before singing the next verse. Each time I sang the chorus the crowd went crazy and started singing it back. I even let the crowd finish the song and I smiled as I looked out at all the people singing and I just knew in that moment that this is where I belonged. "Thank You Sacramento! Goodnight!" I yelled as we all ran off stage. "Great job guys!" Demi congratulated us as we all ran to basically lay on the couch. "I'm beat." Matt says "Yeah I don't know how we are going to do that every night." Chris says "Lots of Starbucks for sure." Nicky says as we all laugh. "Hey Demi when does the bus get here?" I ask "In about two hours why?" She asks "Perfect." I say taking Nicky by the hand. "Where are you going?" Demi asks. "I just need to do something." I say as Demi nods "Just be back before 11" she says as I nodded. We took the back exit and got back on my motorcycle. "Where are we going?" Nicky asks "You'll see." I say as I put my helmet on. We stop by a flower shop to get some Yellow Roses. They were my mom's favorite flowers. As I made my way to the cemetery I parked out front. I took off my helmet and got off the bike and took the flowers from Nicky. She followed me inside probably thinking that I needed support which I definitely did. When we found her tombstone I set the flowers in front of it. "Hey Mom." I say In almost a whisper. I swallowed my tears knowing that if I broke down right now then I wouldn't be able to say what I wanted to. I kneeled down in front of her grave and Nicky followed my actions. "Mom this is my girlfriend Nicky but you probably already knew that." I say smiling as Nicky wrapped an arm around my shoulder. "It's nice to meet you Ms.Jones." Nicky says speaking up. "God I miss you Mom. Not a day goes by that I don't. I so wish you could've been there tonight. I wish I could've seen you crying as I sang all those slow ballads like you always used to at my choir concerts." I say chuckling though tears were already streaming down my cheeks. "I used to be so embarrassing at how emotional you were but the fact that you weren't there crying was the part that was missing from tonight. I know you were there though. I know you were. I love you so much Mom and I'm so sorry." I say as those words escaped my mouth I broke down crying in Nicky's arms as she held me and kissed my forehead over and over. "Ms.Jones I wish that we could've met. From what I've heard from your daughter you were an amazing person. I'm going to take care of Jordan and that's a promise. I love her more than anything in this world. When I'm with her I just feel complete and I promise I will do everything and anything I can to keep her happy." Nicky says as she kisses my forehead once more. "Thanks for being here Rockstar." I say smiling weakly. "Anytime Princess. I love you and I meant every word I said." She says smiling "I know you did and I love you too." I say as she placed a soft kiss on my lips. After I had said goodbye to my mom we left the cemetery and went back to the venue just as the bus had gotten here. "Finally where'd you guys go?" Chris asks. "I just had to visit someone before I left." I explain "Are you crying?" Matt asks I nodded "Yeah it was someone I hadn't seen in a while and I miss them a lot." I say looking up at the sky. I think he understood who I meant when I said that because he didn't push. In fact none of them did. I was grateful to have such great people around me. They didn't have to know who I visited they just knew it was important to me that I did. I'm sure if my mom were still alive she'd probably give me a good lecture about the drugs and the drinking and all those one night stands. But she'd also say that she was proud that I overcame it and I'm now living my dream with a great support system around me. So needless to say our first show was a show that none will ever forget.
A/N: Okay so this is probably the longest chapter I've ever written I mean seriously almost 5,000 words that's more than any essay I've ever written for English class. But there was just so much to this chapter so I'm glad it's a long one. Anyway tell me what you guys want to see happen on tour. Will this all become too much for them? Until next time guys! Love you!
