Yamato X Reader ~If you love me let me go~

|Depressed! Yamato X Dead! Reader| -Naruto-

Yamato's POV:
I lay on my bed crying to myself as I think about how I let her die! She was in my arms and I failed to protect the one person I loved in my life!

~Flashbacks~
(Y/n) started coughing up blood harshly and I began freaking out until she put her hand on my cheek and smiled. "Yamato." She mumbled. "Yes?" I responded grabbed the hand softly yet tightly at the same time. "Don't waste your breathe I won't make it..." she said shakily and coughed again. "I love you Yamato." She said smiling. "(Y/n)! I love you too but you will make it!" I yelled. She gave me a heart filled smile till her eyes grew dull and she closed them with a small smile planted on her face "(Y/N)!!!!!"
~End of Flashback~

I stared at the mirror... I don't even recognize myself anymore! My hair was a big crazy mess and my eyes were red and puffy.

I started fixing myself up and went out to Lady Tsunade's office. I knocked on the door and she told me to come in.

I walked in and she gave me a soft smile," Tenzo I'm sorry about what happened to (Y/n)." She said.

"It's no big deal..." I said.

"We will be holding a funeral for all the shinobi who have died tomorrow." She stated.

"Thank you Lady Tsunade." I said with a sad smile.

"Also I have something to give you." She said handing me a scroll.

Scroll read:
Hey Yamato! If your reading this I'm probably dead... I love you and I want to tell you a few things. I was actually the sister of Yagato or Pain and originally from the village hidden in the rain but transferred. He tried to force me to join the Akatsuki but I would rather stay her with you. I love being your girlfriend and all but since I'm dead I want to tell you something important and I hope you listen closely to these words...
"If you love me let me go"

I read the scroll and my hands started shaking and tears rolled down my face. I burst into tears and the tears hit the paper making the ink wash away and the paper break.

"Tenzo." Lady Tsunade said standing up, walking over to me, and embracing me in a gentle hug.

"I-I'm sorry m-m'lady." I said.

"It's alright Tenzo, it's ok to be weak at times. If you ball everything up your bound to burst eventually." She said softly.

I hugged her back. And cried.

~Timeskip to next day~

I stared at her tombstone as tears rolled down my face.

Unknown POV:
"I'm sorry Yamato... it's for the great or good." She said clutching the spot where her heart is.

"Are you ready to go (Y/n)?" Nagato asked.

"Yes... goodbye Yamato."

Yamato turned towards the tree where he heard a rustle," (Y/n)?" He asked softly.

He ran towards the tree," (Y/n)!" He yelled.
