After what feels like a million hours in the sky, I finally land in Perth, Australia. Home of my favorite four boys (and my favorite animal).
I wonder what their houses look like. If they're like, totally decked out with rock posters and holes in the wall. On the other hand, Sean kinda seems like the kind of guy who lives all organized. I can only wonder though— UNTIL NOW.
Not only am I here to travel and explore, but to meet the one, the only, The Faim. I've been following them on social media ever since early 2015, and watching them grow has been nothing short of amazing. The boys deserve all the progress they are getting. They work so hard for it.
One thing I really love about the boys, is how much they connect with their fans. Whether it's a comment, a Snapchat, or a DM, they look at it and most the time, respond—ever since they were called 'Small Town Heroes'.
On another note, I don't know what girls look for these days, but I'm personally a Stevie kinda gal. I mean... the biceps.
Anyways, I'm here to finally meet them at least once, and see them perform live. I've rented out a hotel room located in Perth for two weeks. Then, I will begin flying back home.
As I stand outside the airport, I spot my ride in the distance. I stand and wave at the car I called fifteen minutes ago. I climb on in and smile at the man. He greets me and asks me where he is driving to. His accent makes me smile like a fool. I could get used to this.
We make eye contact through the rear view mirror. "Oh, I know the hotel. It's a twenty minute drive." He informs me. I nod and buckle up.
On the way to my temporary home, I examine my surroundings. This country is so beautiful. And hot. Like, kind of unbelievably hot. Mother almost made me pack pants "just in case". I sure am glad I packed so many shorts and bathing suits.

When the taxi stops at the hotel, I pay the driver and enter the building. Not before saving the number to his taxi into my phone. He was a nice driver that answered all my questions. My room is nothing short of amazing, especially for a girl on my kind of budget. Ever since the incident a few years back, we have been very meticulous with our finances.
My phone dings, and I can see a text from my mother. I call her, as promised. Otherwise, I bet she would call the police and report her child is missing in a foreign country.
"Hey mom."
"Honey! Where are you? Are you safe? Did the flights go well? Is everything okay over there?" She starts spitting off questions.
"Yes, mom. Settle down. It was all normal! It's so beautiful here! I already love it!" I hear her sigh in relief. Then I hear Benjamin's voice.
"Okay good! That's nice, darling. I would stay on the phone, but I can imagine that you're too tired. Try to rest up, okay? I love and miss you so so so much."
I laugh at the fact that she misses me after a day. And at the fact she's hanging up the phone already, all thanks to Benjamin. "I love you too, mom. I'll talk to you tomorrow," I say. We say our goodbyes and she hangs up. I take this chance to plug up my phone and lie down. On tonight's agenda: sleep.
