Jace

"Oh, God!" Selene kept on mumbling as she paced the school marble before me. Her book was plastered in the sight of her eyes and her lips mumbled anything that crossed her eyes in the form of jumbled letters.

It was the end of the first semester. Meaning Selene was done with high school in a matter of days.

That bugged me, I was going to miss hearing her laughter echo in the school. I was going to miss her scent next to me.

It had been two months since that accident in school and they gave a two weeks break, excluding the winter break from it.

Selene recovered good and she kept her way with me. We were so good. So perfect. I was in love with her. Even more than I could think about. Two months and still I wanted to have her.

We took it extremely slow. I wasn't going to scare her way. No way. I had to keep and give her, her way. She deserved it. She needed it.

"Selene?" I called as she kept her pace.

She kept on mumbling. I couldn't even hear what she was saying because I was still in front of her, on the floor against the wall, studying out some Chemistry. Diploma course.

It was hard but Selene was crazy about chemistry and she helped me through quite clearly.

"Selene?" I groaned getting up.

No response. Only mumbling in her book.

I walked over to her.

"Selene?" I called standing close to where she was walking.

Still nothing.

Getting agitated, I enlogated my arm and before she seemed to have processed it, I gathered her in my arms. She gasped as she collided with me and face came closer to mine.

"Breathe." I whispered while keeping her eyes locked with mine.

"Jace, I need to leave this year. Last year, because of all the bullshit, I got stuck and I'm telling you that I need my out." She stated, looking firmly in my eyes. The fire in her them was the one talking to me. Not her.

It was vibrant and real.

"I know." I kissed her forehead and she sighed.

"I'm sorry." She snuggled into me with her arms around my waist, "This semester was great. I mean-" she raised her head from my chest and looked up at me, "-if it weren't for now. We would've never met." My hold tightened around her waist as a painful tightness started rising in my chest. I couldn't imagine my life without Selene in it. I just couldn't.

"Hey, but that didn't happen." She missed my chin and I sagged.

"Its like cooing a baby to sleep with you, isn't it?" I laughed.

"Yep." She chuckled kissing my chest and moving away.

I looked at her in awe as she walked around, getting back into your book.

"Well, I'm fried with this." I rubbed my eyes after an hour of two of shuffling through chemistry and listening to music. I yawned and found her sitting against the other wall of the hallway, right opposite me. She was still biting her lip and reading the lucky social book.

The way her fingers curled around the book, the way her eyes read it so intently, the way she placed the book in her lap, between her legs...

"Jace, you're staring." She broke my trance, keeping her eyes on the book.

"I know." I licked my lips.

"Stop."

"No."
