Denim, Denim, Denim
My view was obstructed with denim jackets, denim jeans, denim shirts, you name it. We came to a stop on our short trip at this small thrift shop, which for some reason, only sold denim. Taken into consideration that was already wearing blue jeans, it was not my intension to go full out.
"Jase, where you at?" Nick wondered as he scoped around the store.
"Denim Jackets." I blankly told him as I continued to stare at my phone. "How is it that a store can have so much denim?" I chuckled not looking up from my phone.
"Feels like we just got out of the factory." Nick sighed staring at the articles of clothing around us. I clenched my jaw at the thought, those days were times I never wanted to recall. I just nodded in response and regained my attention to my phone.
Nick huffed looking at my position, "What are you so giddy about on your phone there goldilocks?"
"I don't think I'm smiling at my phone Nick." I shook my head at him.
"Well you're paying more attention to it than the strippers at the club last week." He spoke as he walked away.
"I have no interest in that kind of stuff at the moment, sorry." I replied yelling after him while he waved a hand in return. "And is that what you're gonna call me from now on?"
He laughed at the other end of the store, "I'm going to now!"

The sky had grown dark while the moon illuminated the area bellow it as the stars twinkled each at its own moment. The street lights lit up our pathways ever few meters while we walked down the long yet abandoned walkway towards our destination. Every few minutes you could hear Caleb mumbling curse words under his breath and kick eraser sized rocks, some which hit my legs in the process.
"Would you cut it out Caleb? Jesus fuck!" I stopped walking while I yelled at him. Nick snorted at my sudden irritation yet I'd been like this since yesterday and they knew it. Caleb gave me a shocked gasp and shoved me out of the way so he could continue on what he was doing ahead of us.
Nick slowed down to meet my pace so Caleb was further ahead. "No funny business tonight, alright?" He spoke low so Caleb couldn't hear.
"I wasn't the one pressed the other day when we had the meeting with Elijah." I raised my eyebrow at him.
"I shouldn't have I get it, the worst is to lash out in front of him."
"You don't know lashing out then." I interrupted while I half heartedly laughed at him.
Nick looked at me sternly, "And that's what I'm talking about. Don't pull the shit you did with Alex if he says something to piss you off. You know he will and if you react shits gonna fucking fly." I only nodded my head at the visions of what could possibly happen and past events.

"Gian, stop fucking following me, focus on your own screen!" I try to yell at him but I'm overcome with laughter as it takes over.
"One! Last! Kill!" Gian screams at me pushing me off the couch in the process, only to shot my avatar once I'm on the ground. "Atta boy! I win!" he shouts standing up and walking to the fridge dramatically.
"Buddy, if you thinks that's a win you've been playing wrong. And lower your fucking voice!" I shout back in the same tone to mock him. He laughs back and shakes his head in the process.
Suddenly something is thrown through the window facing the street and a gun shot is followed. I duct my head to take cover, waiting for whoever caused the chaos to leave. I slowly get back up and notice Gian is no longer where he once was. I make my way to the kitchen avoiding any view from the window, and once I reach behind the island my heart stops. I dropped to my knees at the sight of Gian on the floor, blood spilling from chest while his body involuntarily spasms. My eyes start to water and my view becomes blurry, the rush of multiple footsteps floodind my ears.
