Jason
The little threats I received from Mark when we had meetings with Elijah were pathetic. It was time to show him who really fucking runs this. It's been about a month since we had our little chat with him about territory. Now I use this term very loosely based on the actual situation and work we have at hand with Elijah, but Mark didn't need to know that. We settled on telling him, more or so showing him exactly we have planned.
Jarvis Austrin
A very interesting man you could say. He had a high class of smoking weed and it was one of Marks highest profits, but for us too. You see, Austrin loves guns, I mean loves guns. If it was possible to fuck one, he'd be banging one every night. That's why Austrin and I got along quite well, and his relationship with Mark was pretty mellow, which gave us an advantage.
Nick, Caleb and I were already at Jarvis' house when Mark finally decided to show up 15 minutes late; already a bad decision with Austrin, he likes punctuality. He strolled in head high until he saw all of us sitting together and his face dropped.
"What the fuck are they doing here?" Mark's face scrunched up trying to keep his cool.
"They're here to do business with us. Plus, I don't really see a problem." Jarvis crossed his arms clearly making a statement that we weren't leaving. Mark kept his mouth shut as he gave us silent glares across the room as Jarvis discussed upcoming business.
Three hours and many disagreements later, Jarvis had finally decided on the pay and the setups between the two. "Alright Mark I expect you to bring my goods every Wednesday and on time." Jarvis emphasized. "Caleb, make sure these shitheads get here in one piece too because they might not leave the way they did if they screw their shit up." He joked shoving Caleb in the arm while he gave light smiles to Nick and I.
"What's the split?" I played dumb as if I didn't already known the answer.
"It's sixty-forty, Jason you get sixty and Mark you get the rest-" he said easily before being interrupted by Mark.
"What the fuck do you mean Jason gets sixty?!" Mark exclaimed, "You're my highest buyer and you're telling me they get most of my profits?" He began to yell.
"Mark, if you don't calm down you can take your whiney ass and your friends and walk out that door with nothing!" Jarvis' voice boomed throughout the room.
I tried to hold my laugh to myself but the look on Mark's face was priceless. He looked at me in anger before finally realizing what was really going on. Surprisingly when the greeting was over, not even a word from Mark was spoken to me or the boys after, not even a glance. Walking back into our house my phone buzzed in my black sweatpants pocket.
Unknown: Guess you don't realize she isn't all about you, eh?
What the fuck?
Me: What are you talking about?
My skin blistered at the following message
Unknown: Don't you know about him?
Who's him?
Aviana
I sat impatiently on the couch whilst twiddling with my thumbs in anticipation. The echoing sound of the clock was all that could be heard throughout the house; Tick, Tick, Tick. I looked at the small painting of a pastel pink tulip we had hanging on the wall, the thick strokes creating mountains and craters with its artwork. There was a small noise from the front hallway, the door opening and closing slowly and a bag falling to the floor. I stood up frantically my mind wondering if he was really home.
