Harry...
I didn't for one second, believe that everything was as peachy as Selena claims it to be.
"Mia are you sure you're alright?"
"Hmm?" she asked abstractedly, doing nothing to divert me from my doubts. "Yeah of course, I am baby."
"You still haven't told me what the meeting's for?" I asked, fighting to my eyes from narrowing in suspicion.
"Just a project for the holidays - a last minute thing."
My trust for her is profound. For her to hold the truth to me could only be triggered by reasonable measures. Doesn't mean I agree with her ways though. The forces of nature may always be against us and having no clue of what's lurking around the bend will always be frightening. But even if the possibilities are huge that by the end she'll be the only one left beside me in our circle of friends - to me it doesn't seem too bad at all.
I'm not asking the same of her. But I don't want her to fear me. I want her to trust me too, even if just in her own way. I hope, this surprise appearance would do the trick somehow.
"Are we there yet?" Louis asked, knees teetering beside me.
"Will you cut it out? I told you just a few second ago, five more minutes." Paul barked from the driver's seat. I rolled my eyes, unable to hinder the smile from my face, though I did manage to successfully hold back on the laughter. I didn't want to infuriate the bulky man further. Him and Louis had been going at it since the moment we alighted our aircraft which was give or take, half an hour ago. We lads knew it to be wiser for us to spend every minute of our mini break curled under the sheets, yet we all agreed on going out instead. Besides, just a few more shows and we'd have all the time in our hands.
More importantly, this wasn't a rendezvous like the rest.
We were all suprised, yet nonetheless ecstatic when we received word from Zayn, not one of us even asking whose party we were crashing. He mentioned it was just some coming together of some sort. I didn't need to know more. Even in just five years under the spotlight, with my observant eyes I already know the who's who in Hollywood and a ploy like this one reeked of Taylor's schemes.
I didn't mind, I wanted to see my mate again and more importantly be reunited with my baby girl and if I'm lucky, maybe I could convince her to come home with me, even if just for the night.
"We're here" Liam announced, hopping of the van that isn't even on a full stop yet, earning a curse from Paul. Even though Liam was the most reserved one of us lot during our trip, just like Louis and I he was just as excited to see his girlfriend. Niall on the other hand, well dinner and drinks are always enough to bring him to his toes, getting to hang with Zayn again is just the cherry on top. I frowned as I remembered Louis telling me about him going out with Selena. When it came to women, Niall was a really shy guy and would only resort to approaching one if he really fancied her and to a certain level.
And as I can recall, they went out more than once.
I don't really see it as a mystery for guys to want a go at my girlfriend. But it is troubling if one of those guys might be very close friend of mine. As I gathered from Louis, the dating abruptly ceased for reasons he is uncertain, though we do have deductions that the end was instigated more on Selena's part. Even so, it is still quite bothering and unnerving not knowing Niall's current affections for her. She's an unforgettable woman as it is, so it wouldn't be suprising if any of his fondness for her still lingers.
I just hope that isn't the case.
Blinding shots disrupt my trail of thoughts as one of my feet nearly touches the pavement. I could hear the wince of my mates as they step off our van as well and I don't blame them, clearly we'll be facing quite the struggle just to get inside. With the help of the security guards and bouncers, we dodged the horde of paparazzi hogging the area and made a beeline for the entrance.
