Louis' POV
The next morning, as Louis tried to get out of bed, pain shot through Louis' body and he hissed at the feeling while wrapping his arms around his stomach in response. Everything hurt and he didn't appreciate it in the least bit.
Usually on sundays, Louis would sleep in and let someone make him breakfast while he took his time doing absolutely nothing without a care in the world. So much for that since he couldn't even leave the warm covers of his king sized bed without cringing at the ache and, Louis thought bitterly, it was all Harry's fault.
Even simply thinking Harry's name caused the events from yesterday to come flooding into Louis' mind and he, unfortunately, remembered the last altercation with Harry in annoyance. Perhaps though, the pain Louis felt whenever he moved gave him an actual reason to avoid Harry all day without raising any suspicion and, well, that stopped all of Louis' previous complaints. Louis sighed though, frustrated with the thoughts of yesterday, as they played like a television behind his blue eyes.
He remembers entering his bathroom that was placed conveniently next to his room in order to get ready for the night, but, as Louis had stood in front of the sink, getting ready to brush his teeth, Harry had entered it silently, not even bothering to knock. He had simply removed Louis' shower gel, tooth brush, and tooth paste from one of the basin counters and replaced them with his own in utter silence, only the soft sound of his breathing being heard.
Neither boy acknowledged the other's presence and Harry hadn't even dared to look at Louis, slightly worried of Louis' reaction, but mostly because he was still a bit angry and ashamed of what had just happened. Thus, he avoided looking at Louis and seeing him in the injured state that he knew he would be in while Louis did the exact opposite.
Louis, although seemingly ignoring the younger boy, gazed at Harry from the corner of his eye. It wasn't as though he couldn't look away because of how captivating Harry was, which was definitely not the case, he was just curious as to why the boy was in his bathroom. So, he watched Harry. He scanned his eyes slowly across Harry's exposed, milky white skin, clearly seeing the obvious bruises from their fight and the hostile tension between the two grew even more.
Louis knew Harry had also seen the wounds he had inflicted Louis with, even if Harry was trying not to look, and Louis could also tell that it was making Harry extremely uncomfortable. It was Harry's fault that Louis had these injuries though, Louis thought, so he was really only making himself uncomfortable with what he did.
Louis quickly decided to do something to make the tension ease slightly and suddenly turned on the faucet tap, moving his tooth brush under the warm stream of water, wetting the hard bristles. He then shakily brought his blue brush up to the opening of his mouth, gently sliding it against his dirty teeth, all while sensing Harry's gaze from behind, causing him to tense even more, if possible.
The odd silence hadn't been that much of a surprise considering their dispute only a few hours back, but it was still highly unsettling and Louis just wanted it to go away. Louis had assumed that Harry still felt guilty after the words he had said to Louis before and Louis, himself, didn't want to talk to Harry for a while either, not even to insult him which was Louis' prior motive after all.
However, he was confused on why Harry hadn't shown any kind of emotion, considering that he was a happy, life-loving lad, well, when he wasn't interacting with Louis. Normally, Harry would have at least smirked at Louis wickedly, trying to feel superior to the older boy, but he wasn't doing anything. Louis wasn't able to explain Harry's odd behavior and that really made him uncomfortable and weirded out.
Although, Harry's sudden change in attitude wasn't one of Louis' main priorities of the moment, but Harry and him sharing a bathroom definitely was. Louis couldn't let Harry share a bathroom with him whilst there were plenty of other bathrooms scattered all over the mansion. Even though Louis knew his was the closest to their adjacent rooms, he just couldn't handle the idea of having to unwillingly spend more time with the younger boy. This was wrong, which was why he had stormed off to his father as soon as he had been finished in the bathroom, leaving a seemingly dull Harry behind.
