Louis' POV
Harry and Anne's moving day came around rather quickly and, as you can imagine, Louis was beyond pumped. His father had urged the whole process along much faster than necessary simply because he claimed that Louis would have more time to figure things out with Harry until the wedding came and vice versa. This obviously caused Louis to become upset, considering that he didn't want to have to live with the curly haired menace any longer than necessary, but his father just wouldn't listen.
Ever since Mark had announced his engagement with Anne, every conversation between him and his father turned into an argument, although, Mark mostly sent Louis to his room and ended the fights rather quickly because, apparently, Louis wasn't in the place to tell his father what and what not to do. That might've been true, well, it was true, but Louis refused to give in.
Currently, he was patiently sitting on the oak staircase that led to the upstairs hall while waiting for Anne, Harry, and Mark to arrive. Louis' father had decided to pick them up from their house - well, old house considering that they had already sold it - while Louis was told to stay behind. Of course he wasn't going to go even if his father begged, but apparently Mark thought Louis might come simply to screw things up.
It did sound like something Louis would do, but he honestly didn't want to interact with the new additions to his family just yet. He even placed himself in the stairway only because he couldn't be seen from the door, but the door could clearly be seen by him. Louis didn't want the first encounter between him and Harry to end in a dilemma, thus, he'd rather stay safe sitting on his safe spot and avoid any possible encounters with him. He had greeted Anne earlier anyway, there was no need to greet her again right now.
Louis suddenly heard the sound of a key turning in the front door key hole and he was instantly brought out of his thoughts and, instead, watched as the door was slowly pushed open and three figures stepped into the house. They yelped a bit, due to the heavy weight of their belongings, and eventually dropped the brown boxes they were carrying onto the floor.
Louis mentally groaned as he watched the three and the sudden realization that he would have to spend the rest of his teenage life under the same roof as that jerk popped somewhat expectantly into his mind. He thought that he'd much rather dig himself a grave and die in that cold, dirty hole than live within even a small distance of Harry. It's not like anyone ever asked him though.
He watched confusedly as Anne sympathetically patted her son on the back because, honestly, if anyone should be sympathetic to someone, it should be to Louis. After all, he was the one who had to deal with the stupid boy while Harry only had to try and keep up with his amazingness. But, then again, that would probably be too hard for Harry to do considering Harry was anything but amazing.
Louis' father soon waved over a maid, Stella, he recalled, to politely ask her to take care of the bags which, of course, she happily agreed to. Mark then turned his attention back to Harry who was looking around the house in awe as he awkwardly shifted on his feet. The sight caused Louis to remember that Harry had in fact been here already, but that was, what seemed to be, a lifetime ago.
Ever since Mark and Anne's relationship had started around two years ago, she had spent quite a lot of time here, but Harry had never accompanied her, obviously.
"Harry, your mother and I will be running some errands, so make yourself at home," Mark informed in an almost business like tone. Truly, Louis wasn't sure if his father knew how to be anything but formal. "I am glad everything worked out so far though." He smiled briefly at Harry, again, it felt more business-y than Louis was sure Harry would have liked. Really, Louis could almost see the awkwardness that was radiating from the boy.
