Jessica pov I just dropped off Jackson at school and i am on my way to the office. When i walked in Olivia walked up to me." Glad your here,have you heard from Nick?" She asked as i got to my desk,i gave her a look nd shook my head." No,the last time i talked to him was yesterday. Why,what's wrong?" I asked as i looked at her as she gave me a sad look." He found out that his dad is in town and no one has heard from him. So we thought you would know since you guys live next to each other." She said as i looked at her." I,will try calling him and see what is going on." I said as i walked to a private place. I tried calling him and got nothing. I sighed as i ran my hand through my hair. I walked out and i saw Nick sitting at his desk." Why didn't you answer me?" I asked as i sat on the edge of his desk." I was busy. Look i'm sorry i didn't answer you." He said as he looked at me." Let's go get lunch,i have a feeling you need to get something off your chest." I said as he nodded. He got up and grabbed his coat and we walked to the elevator. When we got in i looked at him." Do you want to tell me now,or do you want to wait?" I asked as the doors opened and we walked out and over to my car." Let's wait until we get food." He said as i nodded. When we got to a little diner we sat down and i looked at him." Are you ready to tell me what is going on?" I asked as i folded my arms on the table." My dad is in town,and i haven't talked to him since i was 18." He said with a shrug." Why,if you don't mind me asking?" I asked as the waiter came took our order." I didn't really have the best childhood. My dad would come home drunk and he would come home yelling and in bad moods and everything." Nick said as i looked at him with a sad look." Nick,i am so sorry. Now i see why you don't want to see him." I said as i grabbed his hand and i looked at him with sorry eyes." It's fine,we should get back to work." Nick said as he pulled out his wallet,but i stopped him and shook my head." I got this." I said as i paid and we walked out." How about you and Zara come over and i can order pizza and we can just hangout if you want." I said as we got in the car and drove back to work." Sure,that sounds nice,but i am going to pay this time." He said as i laughed." We'll see." I said as we took off. When we walked in i saw an older man sitting at Nick's desk. When we got closer the man got up and turned around and i got a better look at him. But before i could see him Nick walked up to him as the man opened his arms.

"What are you doing here?" Nick asked upset." You can't say hi to your own father?" The man asked as he looked at me." Oh,and who is this?" He asked as he walked closer to me,but Nick stood in front of him." That is nun of your business." Nick said as he got in his dad's face but before he could do anything Fin stopped him." Calm down,Nick. It's not worth it." Fin said as Nick looked at him. Nick nodded and looked at him about to say something. I decided to let them talk so i walked into another room to find something to do. While i was walking Donald stopped me." Jessica,can i talk to you for a minute?" He asked as i nodded. We walked into his office and sat down." What's up?" I asked as i looked at him." I have a case for you,but i will wait until the other comes in." He said as i nodded. A few seconds later there was a knock on the door. When it opened i turned to see Nick. I smiled as i shook my bead." Nick,Jessica. I want you guys to got to Florida for a case down there. Are you guys up for it?" He asked as i nodded." I'm in." I said as i looked at Nick to see what he would saw. He smiled and nodded his head." You got yourself a team."

"Great,you guys leave Monday. For a week." He said as we nodded and left." So,since we will have a little vacation,work week how about we go on our date while there?" Nick asked as i smiled at him and nodded." Sure,i would love to." I said as i smiled at him and we got back to work.
Later that night Nick and Zara have been over for a few hours and the kids are in Jackson playroom. Me and Nick sat in the living room just talking." Would you like another beer?" I asked as he nodded, i got up and went to the kitchen and got us a couple more beers and went back." So,you are telling me that when you was little you was really flexible?" Nick asked as i put my hands up with a smile." Yep." I said with a chuckle as i looked in his deep brown eyes that you can get lost in. I don't know what came over me but i kissed him.

We pulled back for a few seconds so he could put his drink on the table and we went back to kissing. He put his hands on my checks as i put my hands on the side of his neck. It was amazing,as much as i want it to continue i knew we had to stop because the kids are here. I oulled back and we smiled at each other." I hope we get to continue this when we go to Florida." Nick said as i laughed and shook my head." That is if you are lucky." I said just as the kids came into the room." Daddy i'm tired." Zara said as she rubbed her eyes." Okay,lets go home. See you guys tomorrow at the park." Nick said as he left." We are going to the park and you didn't tell me." Jackson said with his hands on his hips, i copied what he did and he laughed." Yes,now come on lets go to bed." I said as i changed and he did to. I tucked him in and i went to my own room to go to sleep.
