Jessica pov
I just dropped Jackson off at school and i am now on my way to the office. When i got there i saw Nick ready to go. When i walked Fin looked at me." Well look at you." He said as i laughed and hugged him." I know,i know. I look horrible." I said as Nick walked up to me with a raised eyebrow." No you don't." He said as i rolled my eyes." What ever,lets go before we are late for our flight." I said as i looked over at Nick." Yeah,come on." He said as he put his coat on." Have fun guns." Fin said as i looked at him." We are going to Florida for work,i don't think it will be that fun." I said as we walked away.
When we got to the airport we did all the things that we had to do. Me and Nick went and got some coffee until our flight gets called. Just as we sat down my phone went off,i pulled it out to see it was Amy." Amy,what's wrong?" I asked as i picked up." Nothing,everything is fine. Jackson just wants to say hi." She said as i heard Jackson over the phone now." Hey bud,how is everything?" I asked as i heard him laugh." I miss you." He said as i smiled a little." I miss you too,but remember what i told you. I will call every chance i get,and i will bring you something back." I said as i heard him laugh." Promise,you won't forget?" He asked as i laughed a little." I promise i won't forget. Now go do your homework and don't forget to show your work,okay." I said as i heard him laugh." Okay,i will. Love you." He said as i laughed." I love you too bud. I have to go now." I said as i heard our flight getting called." Okay,be safe." He said as i smiled." I will bud,love you." I said as he said it back and hug up. We got up and threw away our cups as we walked to the gate. When we got on Nick looked at me." So,he really does miss you?" Nick asked as i nodded." Yeah,i am the only family that he has left. So when i go to work he gets scared that something will happen to me just like our dad." I said as Nick nodded." So,he gets worried that something bad will happen and you won't come home?" Nick asked as i nodded and sighed." He doesn't just have you." Nick said as i looked at him with an raised eyebrow." What do you mean?" I asked as i looked at him." He has me and Zara,and you also have us." He said as i smiled and gave him a hug." Thanks Nick,that mans a lot." I said as he did a little node. I put my head on his shoulder as he put his arm around me and that was the last thing i remember before i feel asleep.
Nick pov
After the little talk with Jessica i looked down to see her asleep. And i have to say ever since the first time we kissed i had a little crush on her. I keep running the question that Zara asked me the night we got home from the park.
Flashback
Just as i put Zara in bed she sat up and looked at me." Daddy,when is Jessica going to be my new mommy?" She asked as i stopped and looked at her." Zara,look me and Jessica are just friends. I doubt something will happen." I said as she fround." I think you guys will be great together." She said as i kissed her head." Get some sleep so you are not tired for our day tomorrow before i leave." I said as i kissed her head as she laid down." Oh daddy,i saw you guys kissing." She said as i stopped and looked at her as she turned over and went to sleep.
End of flashback
I was deep in thought until i saw someone waving a hand in my face." Are you okay?" Jessica asked as i looked at her." Yeah,just thinking about this case." I said as she nodded and pulled out a book and started to draw." So you can draw?" I asked as i looked at her and she nodded." Yeah,my mom taught me when ibwas young." She said as i smiled at her." You are really good." I said as i looked at her stuff." Thanks." She said as the intercom came on saying we are about to land. When we landed we got our things and got a cab to the hotel. When we checked in our rooms we went to our different bedrooms. When i came back out of my room i saw Jessica sitting on the couch looking at the file." So what did you find out?" I asked as i sat next to her." Just that he is a drug dealer known around the streets." She said as she gave me the file. I looked at it,then at her." Why don't we go out at this club that he hangs around at amd see if we can find him,take him down and we can spend the rest of the week hanging out?" I asked as she made a thinking face." Okay,but tomorrow. I am tired." She said as i nodded,she got up and looked at me." Well,i am going to go lay down for a bit." She said as she kissedy check and went to her room. I looked at the file again and sighed. I just hope we can get this guy and we can have the rest of the week to ourselves,i thought as i put the file away and went to bed myself.
