Chapter 10 - Asking a question

Arthur's POV

I woke up and did the usual to get ready. I went downstairs and made my morning tea along with toast. No it wasn't burn. At least not a lot. Anyways after last night I couldn't stop thinking about Alfred. I still couldn't believe he almost kissed me. I sighed and cleaned my plate and tea cup, grabbed my backpack, and went out the door.

Alfred's POV

I finally woke up on time. Well only because Matthew didn't steal my alarm clock. Trust me if I never had that thing I could sleep all day. I'm looking forward today because after last night I came to realize I like Arthur. I know I only known him for one day and I have feelings for him but I can't help myself. He's so cute when he gets all flustered even me just thinking about him getting flustered makes me laugh. I'm thinking of asking him something today i'm nervous to ask him. Anyways I got up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, and went downstairs. I remember I promised Matthew pancakes so I made him some. After that I went out the door. After walking for a while I spotted Arthur coming and I walked towards him smiling. I'm not gonna ask him just yet. Maybe at lunch I will.

Arthur's POV

I saw him walking towards me and he was smiling. I waved at him and smiled back. He was now running towards me until he was finally in front of me. "Hey dude!" he said as he put a hand on my shoulder and smiled. I felt a shiver go down my spine. "Oh hello Alfred, nice to see you again" I said smiling and sorta blushing a little. "Yea same, so you wanna walk together again?" he said looking at me with the eyes of a child. I nodded and as soon as I did he held my hand. My face started heating up again.

"Hurry up, iggy!" he said pulling my arm making me jerk forward. "Iggy?" I asked in confusion and tilted my head. "I made up a nickname for you" he shrugged his shoulders and smiled. "Don't call me that please..." I responded looking at him "aw fine what about Artie?" he asked still pulling me causing me to jerk forward again. I didn't want to be pulled anymore so I picked up my pace.

"That's ok I suppose" I mumbled and sighed afterwards. He smiled and looked at me and said," what about my nickname?" I stayed silent and finally though of one "how about Alfie?" I said looking at him then looking down. We were still holding hands I felt my face get warm. He laughed and held my hand tighter. Was he trying to make me blush?

Alfred's POV

I held his hand tighter. He was so cute when he blushed. The nickname he gave me was cute it actually made me laugh. "I like it Artie" I whispered into his ear. His face got even redder and he pushed me and crossed his arms "git!" he yelled at me and looking down. I swear I could die from laughter I couldn't stop laughing. "Sorry" I said while biting my lip trying not to laugh anymore.

"I guess it's fine Alfie~" he whispered in my ear and smirked. I felt a shiver go down my spine. My face was beat red I just laughed and smiled trying to hide it. We eventually made it to school and sat at the bench we sat on yesterday. We talked a lot I enjoyed it. I got to know a lot more about him. Of course the bell rang and I hugged him. He blushed all over again. I can only imagine how red it will be when I ask him.

Alfred's POV

I ran out of third period and rushed to the cafeteria not even stopping to take a breathe. I finally made it there and saw Arthur sitting down at the table. I approached him and tapped his back. "Hm?" he said as he looked at me. I sat next to him and I took a deep breathe getting ready to ask him.
