If you decide to be Muslim as a women you have already committed to the hijab. The whole point of Islam for women is the hijab. So if you don't want to wear the hijab then don't. It's only harming yourself, no one cares. And if you take examples in which women who do not wear the hijab in some Muslim countries are getting killed. Let me remind you those people killing those women are ISIS. And I recall that I already cleared up the FACT that ISIS is not Muslim nor a follower of the Quran or a believer of Allah. So no, Muslim women are not forced into wearing the hijab. It'd be great if they did but everyone in the Muslim community understands the freedom of women and respect their decisions. I haven't met one Muslim women who became a hijabi and then later on took it off. We believe that the hijab makes you look prettier. It protects you from people. From guys dating you because of your body shape or your hair color because what every girl wants is a guy that dates her because of her personality. And with the hijab and the skirts and the long sleeve shirts you will find a guy that loves you for your personality. Your body should be something only a special guy can see. Muslim women are special because unlike most women we don't disrespect our bodies, use them for attention, but instead we embrace our selves through our personality, through our modesty, through our beliefs. The hijab and the uniform for Muslim women is designed for their good and their good only. 24:31 says, "And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear therof.." And we are not oppressed. No Muslim both men and women shall not hit a soul that God has created. The internet is saying all over that we are beaten by our husbands, fathers, or men. Again Muslim women are NOT beaten. If you say well what about the Middle East, let's remind you again that that is ISIS. Which I've already cleared up is NOT Muslim. Their are multiple parts in the Quran that say don't dare to beat your wife or any human, any soul God has created. "Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great." [Quran Verse 4:34]

EXPLANATION: Men are managers in a household, not in general sense. These are gradual steps in the case of a wife who is not faithful to her husband. These rules were allowed to save a failing marriage, not as a means to control one's wife on a day to day basis.
If you harm a soul God has made in the after life the angels will do the same to you. If you pull your sisters hair, in the after life the angels will pull yours because how dare you hit or harm a soul God has made. You will experience exactly what you have done to him or her. In a sense of equality this seems perfectly fair to do.
