CHAPTER 13.

After what seemed to be an eternity of sitting in in the throne room discussing battle strategy, Raven had finally called a dismissal to all involved. As the room emptied of his court members and military officials he was on his feet and out the door. It had been three hours since he saw his precious Tatum last, that in itself had served to add to his anxious state.

Just the thought of his princess put a smile on his face. He completely melted at the thought of her wild golden mane and fair skin. Her voice made his heart stop in his chest and that body slim, toned, curvaceous body of hers made him tingle in places he did not care to mention. That woman was made for him in every sence. She is his light, his night, his very breath, his very reason for waking up everyday. Without her, he is nothing.

He stopped in front of the door that leads to Their Bed chambers just as he finished that last thought ran through his head. He took a deep breath to calm himself before raising his knuckle to rap on the door.

The sound of his knuckles hitting the wood echoed through the empty hallway around him. He waited for a reply from his love, but received nothing but silence from the other side. "Tatum?", Raven called through the door, but again he didn't get a reply. Finally, his anxiety became all to much and he slammed the door open only to reveal an empty room.

Fear gripped every inch of his being. She is gone. His love, his princess, is life is gone. But how? Her injuries were to substantial, there is no way she could have left on her own, unless....

She was kidnapped. He screamed in anger as he grabbed the vase closest to him and through it against the wall. The crystal vase splintered under the impact, leaving shards of glass all over the carpeting, but he could care less at the moment. Tatum Is all that mattered to him at the moment. "Gards!" He bellowed out.

Moments later, the two men who he had charged with guarding Tatum with came tumbling into the room.
At this point, a thick film of red had taken over Raven's sight making him crave their blood. "Where... is... she..?!" He growled out as he took a menacing step toward the two now trembling gaurdsmen.

The two gaurds began to back away from their prince as sweat dripped down their faces. Never had they ever seen their prince in this condition. He had a crazed look in his now Cole black eyes, the veins in his neck and arms were bulged out as he clinched his shaky fist at his side. The man is quite literally in a blind, seething rage, and these two men were the reason.

"W-we d-don't know, y-your highness... " The bravest gaurds stuttered out. This only served to piss Raven off even more.

"What do you mean you don't know?! You two were supposed to stay stationed outside her door less she need you?!" He bellowed out furiously.

"We w-where i-in the drawing room, my majesty. W-we heard no struggle. Swear it!" The cowardly gaurds cried out.

"Ye mean to tell me that you left your incredibly ill princess unprotected and alone in her room while we are on the verge of a war! She can be used as leverage you idiots!" He yelled, suddenly loosing all control and pinning the two sorry gaurds against the wall by their necks. They struggled to breath as his strong, calloused fingertips dug deep into their windpipes. "I should slaughter ye both where you stand!" He growled, applying more pressure to their already bruised throats. Their faces were turning a very deep shade of purple.

"Sir, Stop!" A voice cried, Raven felt a pair of hands grip his shoulder in an attempt to pull him away, frustrated with the interruption, the prince dropped the two gaurds at his feet and swung around to attack the person who dared to interrupt him, only to stop when his eyes were met with the face of Terrace.

"This isn't going to help any thing." The old man said as he glared down at the two incompetent gaurds who were balling in a pathic pile on the floor, gasping for breath. Terrace shook his head at them before turning to his prince. "Call the rest of the gaurds, split them into groups and run a perimeter. Let's find her."

"What if she isn't on the estate?" Raven spat through gritted teeth.

"The we will scope outward until we find her. If she was in fact taken by our enemies, then we are wasting precious time. We got to move now." Terrace reasoned in a level voice. Though the old man seemed calm, on the inside, he was anything but. He was a bumbling mess, the girl he called his daughter was missing.

"Your right. Go gather the troops, find her. And don't forget to take that trash with you." He spat , nodding at the two shaking masses on the floor at his feet.

"What is to be done with them?"

"Toss them in the dungeon, I will deal with them later." Raven said darkly. He turned away from all the men in the room in favor of staring at the wall.

Terrace said nothing as he roughly grabbed the two worthless beings by their collars and dragged them from the room. Once the door slammed shut, in casing him in piercing silence, he completely lost it. He put his fist though the wall before releasing an earth shaking roar that echoed for miles around, shaking the very world to its core. Not wasting a single moment, he forced himself to phase into the raven he truly is before flying out the cracked window desperate to find his one and only love.
