Chapter Six

Around Tatum, the room came into focus, telling her that she was definitely not in her appartment. The room was a deep midnight blue with golden trimming. This one room as the size of her entire appartment and then some! She tried to sit up, only to be greeted by unbelievable pain, she leg go an agonized moan before falling back down onto the softest bed known to man.

Tatum's pained moan alerted Raven of her awakening. He sat the book down before pulling himself to a standing position, "please do not move, your injuries do not alow it." He said slowly before making his way to her side with is back straight and his broad shoulders forward. He was a large, muscular man. This made Tatum very nervous.

Finally, the muscular man walked calmly to her side and crouched to her level. His face was flawless, as though it had been carved by angels. She lost her self in his crystal blue eyes for a moment, only finding herself when he spoke, "I am Ravin, the prince of Alicante, it is a pleasure to meet you my fair princess." She was so lost in the sound of his deep gravely voice, that she almost missed what he said. Almost.

" Alicante? Where in the strawberry strudel is Alicante? Prince? Are you playing with me?! Oh are we in England?" She began fireing at him.
Raven couldn't help the wholesome laugh that escaped his throat. Oh how he dreamed of being this close to her, though it is nothing like he imagined.

He took a breath and decided to answer one question at a time, "Alicante is not of your world. It is but a kingdom within another dimension. Yes, I am the prince of this kingdom, I shan't, ascend until I have married, to be a king one must have a queen. " He explains simply as to not scare her.

Tatum blanched at him. She had no idea what he was going on about. All she knew was that he needed some serious help. She nodded, trying to play along. The sooner she gets away from this sexy, delusional scotish man, the better. "Fair thy well, Prince Raven, I must now headith back to my ye ol dwelling!!" She shouted dramatically. She tried to swing her legs over the edge of the bed, but was only met by the biting pain in her side. She hissed in pain before laying back, taking a deep breath, and trying again. Only this time the pain in her side was unlike anything. The piercing, burning pain ransacked her whole body. She screamed loudly before blood crept up her throat choking and gagging her. Raven was at her side in a heart beat, "Tatum, dear are you alright, Tatum, stay awake!" He shouts in a panic as he watches blood pour from her mouth.

"DOCTOR! Doctor! Come quick!" Raven shouts out. He can feel his heart beating hard against his ribcage, breaking more with every gurgling sound Tatum made.

It isn't long before the doctor burst into the room with Raven's servant Nina in tow. Somewhere in the distance, the doctor is shouting orders to Nina, and Raven feels someone dragging him away from his love. But he can't seem to bring himself to focus on those things. The only thing he can really see is Tatum. Her skin losing color, her body growing weaker as it struggles for breath, her eyes falling shut as her body finally gives up, and her weak bloodstained hand reaching out to Raven in one last attempt for comfort. That was the last thing he saw before the door slammed in his face. He fell to his knees on the floor and sobbed like never before. What if his sweet Tatum dies tonight? After a moment his sobs eased as he looked up with new determination. If Tatum dies tonight, so will he.
