(This will be written through Hector's point of view)

I had been stalking prey when I heard the scream. I was closing in on her when the scream threw me off of her trail. There was an overwhelming smell of blood in the air that I could not pull away from. It was in the direction of the scream which was the odd thing. My mentor long ago warned me about chasing after screams in the night but this was...off. The blood had to be coming from there but from my knowledge no other vampire would have stepped in my territory. I had the area very well marked and I thought I made it clear no other vampire were to step foot in my feeding grounds. I quickly changed direction and headed towards the scent.

The icy wind was too much for any ordinary murderer to endure. I barely could keep my temperature stable in the weather and I considered myself rather powerful. I reached the other side of the street and began my accention up the buildings side. I did not worry about being sighted through windows, most were kept shut and covered in curtains to ward off the cold. My mentor taught me to aviod vertical accention but I had learned the usefulness of the veiw.

Once I gained a high viewpoint I could see where the blood scent came from. The slums of town where I often frequented prey. I didn't not see how they were not detered from there. My scent had to be strongest there. I had to see what buisness this intruder had feeding on my ground.

I jumped down the building and traversed through the allyways until I got outside the shabby door of the complex. I took a deep breath to be sure the scent came from inside and it certainly did. I pulled on the door but it did not open.

"Agh!" I hissed at the blasted thing. It was jammed serverly. I had to find another way in. Luckily I could see a window just to the side of the door. Even slightly cracked. I quietly snuck in through the window.

Moans of agony were presant in the dark room. I slithered around the corner and I could see, in the dark another vampire haunched over their victim. I walked towards it and let my fangs expose themselves.

"Who are you and why are you in my territory?" I said. The vampire must have not sensed me come in because he jolted up to face me.

He was covered in blood and I could see he still had the bloodlust. Speaking to him would be difficult. There is no way that I could allow such a wretch to draw unwanted attention to my hunting grounds.

"I am Ulfrich. I believe its pretty obvious what I am doing." His eyes were very dialated and he exposed his fangs more. His bloodlust certainly made him confident.

I admit the smell of blood gave me a mild high but I was devoted to remaining civilized. "Well you need to leave. This is my territory and I do not need the attention of the people to esculate in this area. I've fed here too recently for there to be another attack."

My words did not seem to phase him and he turned around and continued feeding. This was a major sign of disrespect which worried me that this could become violent. I moved up to him and pulled him by the shoulder off of the victim, knocking him to the floor. "You need to leave. Now!" I left more power in my voice and I could see his bloodlust was reaching a tipping point. Mine was also rapidly rising but I was trained to control it better than the common animal.

He snarled at me. "I've survived hundreds of years and killed many more intimidating than you. I will finish my meal. " He stood his ground and hissed. His pedigree was not very impressive to me. Having reached my thousandth year decades ago he was but a child in comparision. It was easy to picture him under a mentor at his pathetic age. It's so juvinial to go on about such a low pedigree.

I was just about to charge him when I heard horses approaching and police shouting. Both of us had to be smarter than to expose ourselves to the authorities. He caved first and escaped through the window. By the time I had assessed the situation the police were shining lanterns and breaking down the door. I needed a quick escape from the police so I looked for anyrhing to get out of site. I shot my head around to see there were stairs at the side of the room.

I rushed through the dark and fled up the stairs, out of the police officers sites. It was a very poorly kempt room, I found myself in. I doubt it was used for much from the amount of dust that covered everything.

I could hear people screaming from bellow me and I knew they found the body. With no other option I found the nearest window and forced it open. I was somewhat reluctant to drop onto the hard ally below but I lept and ran away from the scene. I needed a new hunting ground, thanks to that fool.
