When the day was over, I started walking straight home. I turned around, rolling my eyes when I heard the honk of a car. I saw a bright red car pull up next to me and I was met by the light skin face and the hazel eyes of Dominique.
I immediately turned back around walking faster when he began to roll the window down. He honked once more yelling out "Do you want a ride or not?" I stopped for a moment considering it. It was drizzling again and I still had a mile left until I would even get home, which by then it would probably be windy and raining. I turned to the car and nodded opening the passenger door.
Once I closed the door we sped off, "Where you live?" he asked
"A straight mile from here." I replied meekly
He nodded and we drove in silence, until my stomach began growling unexpectedly. I squeezed my eyes shut wishing I would have just kept walking and hoping he hadn't heard it. But, nonetheless, he had and looked over at me, "You want to get something to eat?" he questioned again
I shook my head to the side fast, I just wanted to get out of the car and get home away from him.
"You sure? Because the way your stomach is growling, it's telling me yes." he chuckled
"Don't laugh." I mumbled
He immediately stopped and looked over at me again, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it how you think I did."
I nodded, an then the car stopped. I looked up expecting to see my house, but instead we were at a local fast food restaurant. I then directed my gaze to him and he shrugged getting out of the car rushing to my side to open my door. I thanked him and we walked up to the restaurant.

We sat down with our food in silence as he began to unwrap his burger. I looked down at my chicken sandwich and mentally promised myself that I wouldn't take not a single bite while he was in front of me. Even though he apologized earlier I still couldn't get over the comment he made about my stomach, even if it wasn't such a big deal.
He glanced at me for a second dropping his burger on the table, wiping his hands, and sitting up.
"Are you gonna eat something?"
I shook my head. "I told you I wasnt hungry." I said simply
"Whats your name?" he asked randomly
"Whats your name?" I mocked
He chuckled deeply, "Ok, then, I will tell you mines first if you tell me yours after." he suggested
I shook my head from side to side, "I'm good." I grinned, but I quickly covered it up.
"So you gonna let me buy you food but won't tell me your name?" He raised an eyebrow
"I know who you are already." I said nonchalantly
He looked at me questioningly. I got up quickly rushing for the door, him trailing me. I felt his hand grip my arm to stop me. I turned around.
"I dont think you have heard bad things about me, have you?" he said tilting his head giving me a lop- sided grin.
"You're Jessica's, ex." I said
He released my arm slowly, speaking. "Yeah..." he trailed off suddenly looking at me.
"How could you possibly know that?" he said taking a step forward towards me
"Im her, best friend, or ex-best friend" I said explaining
"I got to go" I spoke out hurriedly
"I still didnt get your name." he mentioned
"Diamond" I responded turning on my heel and sprinting in the direction of my house
