my dear,
you are a bird, you are a star, you are the wind.
in other words, darling, you are free.
spread your wings, shine your light, fly away somewhere new.
hold tight to your home, and your faith and your loved ones.
but do not close your mind to what you can achieve.
to what you can change in the world.
to who you can influence.
to whom you can love.
to how many places you can call home.
for you can know many lives, and live them all as one,
you can have whatever you wish,
if only you try. if only you work. if only you dedicate yourself.
the world is your oyster.
so go explore it. and i only ask that you stay true to who you are,
but i am not saying do not change.
spread your wings, dear one, and bring me things from your travels
so that i may remember you by them.
and always remember me.
