  recap:

"Nice to meet you, billy. Im ryan. Do you dirt bike?" she shook her head. "I love to watch it though." ryan informed her that he loved to dirt bike and billy asked if he would let her know when his next tournament was. "Sure!" ryan smiled as billy waved and walked off. Yeah! Got me a woman's number! He stuffed the scrap of paper in his pocket and lifted up the seat on his bike so he could put his groceries in. he strapped on his helmet, straddled the motorcycle, and sped off towards his house.

When he walked in the door, he took off his helmet and hung up his keys. He stretched out and immediately regretted it. "Fuck!" he pressed his hands on his stitches. I have to get used to this now... he groaned and pulled out his pain relief cream, took off his shirt and rubbed it all over his stitches. The weird hot and cold sensation spread across his chest and he sprawled out on his couch. "What's on the news?" he wondered out loud as he turned on the tv. "Local police officer manny Lucker has died today; here is Claretta gillyat, live with more information." the camera switched to show a female coyote dressed very professionally. "Thanks ario, I am here at the scene; the aldely bowling alley is where the shooting took place. There were 13 people who sustained injuries and officer lucker was the only casualty." a sense of dread washed over Ryan. Tyler works there. Tyler, better known as ty, was Ryan's best friend. He remembered when ty first said he wanted to go off to war. He remembered crying when he left and when he came back. He remembered when ty broke down when Ryan asked him about the scars on his face. Ryan knew that he had to get there. If he didn't, ty could be having a panic attack right now without anyone to comfort him! Ryan didn't even bother to turn off the tv or grab his helmet as he rushed out the door. He shoved his keys in the ignition and zoomed off to the bowling alley. As he was driving, he realized that he had forgotten to put his shirt back on. He knew everyone would be looking at his stitches but he didn't care, All he cared about right now was getting to his friend. He zoomed into the parking lot and past the police baricades. It was actually very easy because the barricades were meant for larger animals. He ran through the legs of the larger animals until he found ty with his head in his hands on the side of the road. "Ty!" he screeched and he scrambled up the cat-crocodile hybrid's leg. Tyler's head snapped up and Ryan noticed that he had been crying. A choked cry came from ty's mouth and he buried his head and shook. "Hey, talk to me. Don't hold it in." he jumped from ty's knee to his shoulder and petted the fur on his cheeks. "I-it was too much l-like the war..." he responded with a sob. Ryan continued to pet his cheeks. "But its not the war. You know that right? This was just a freak incident. It won't happen regularly. Why don't we go to your place and chill? We can do whatever." ty lifted his head and nodded. "H-hang on..." he said with a sniffle. Ryan stood up and gripped the hair on ty's head. When Ryan stood on ty's shoulder, the top of his head reached the point where ty's ears ended when they were straight up. "I don't know why you put up with me..." ty mumbled. Ryan gasped and frantically swatted at his nose. "Don't ever say that! You are my best friend! You always will be. Even when you do stupid things like go off to war." Ryan huffed. Ty chuckled a little bit and walked over to his car. "Did you bring your bike?" he asked. Ryan grunted a 'yes' and pointed ty in the direction of his motorcycle. When they approach the bike, there are several officers surrounding it. "Irving do you know when the motorcycle appeared?" a voice on a walkie-talkie said. A panda replied with, "negative, Fernando." Ryan and ty looked at each other. "Um, sir?" Ryan pipes up. The panda turns around with a confused look on his face. "What are you two doing here?" he asks as his hand slowly reaches for his taser. Ryan puts his hands up. "Sir, I'm just here to get my motorcycle back." the panda looks at them suspiciously. "We were just about to leave. I just need to take my friend's bike with us." the panda narrows his eyes. "How did you even get in here...?" he asked slowly. "I work here, at the bowling alley. He's my friend and he came to check on me." ty said as he pointed to Ryan. "I'm sorry but there is no unauthorized personnel allowed in this area." he said as he stared at Ryan, who started to feel very self-conscious. He glanced down at his stitches. Tyler noticed Ryan was getting embarrassed with his two Cheshire-cat-smile-shaped stitches on his chest. "Hey, stop staring at my friend!" he slowly walked up to the police officer and stared him in the face. "Sorry, I didn't realize the fag couldn't stand up for herself" Ryan shrunk and tyler fumed. "Don't you dare call my friend that! He is the bravest man i know, and you're insulting him!" ty lashed out and punched the officer in the mouth. The panda stumbled back, clutching his mouth. Ty stormed past him, picked up Ryan's motorcycle, and walked to his car. He rummaged through the back seat and pulled out a bungee cord that Ryan could use as a seat belt, then got in the car. "Thanks, ty. I don't know what I did to deserve you." Ryan says with a sad smile. "Hey, don't worry bro. I've always got your back." he looks down at the lizard. "Don't worry. You have always been a man, and you always will be. Don't let that guy get to you. Smile for me, would ya?" Ryan genuinely smiles.
