Chapter 17: The Contest

She finished singing, she looked at the clear blue sky.
"I miss singing with them," she mumbled.
She remembered her friends: Neil, Elizabeth, Amy and Kirito. They are always singing.
The tear fell to her face, she noticed it and wipe it.
She unplugged her headset and stood, dusting her skirt.
The bell for lunch was over so she went to her classroom.

3rd's POV

Mae seated at her seat and the Music teacher entered to the class.
They write in the lecture and review it.
"Class, I was planning you to have a performance in music." Their sensei said.

Mae looked at her teacher.
One of the class spoke.
"What is it sensei?"
"After your Examination Test this month, Mr. Souh request that we are gonna have a singing concerts," sensei said.

My eyes widened.
Really!
"Is that individual?" The other said.
"No, that will be a classroom performance, each section
Mr. Souh will pick one of the student who will sing. The student will sing solo or duet . Their sensei said smiling at them.

"So, class dismissed." She walked outside.
Mae walked after sensei.
"Sensei!" Mae shouted.
Their sensei turned around.

"Yes Miss Fujioka?" The teacher said.
"Umm Shizuka- sensei, Mr. Souh will pick a student who will sing?" She asked and she smile, nodded.
"Thank you sensei" she bowed and walked but she stopped when Shizuka took her hand.

"Meet me in the Office later Ms. Mae," she said and Mae nodded innocently.
Why?
While she was thinking, Haruhi saw her.
"Mae!" She yelled.

Mae looked at her, running towards her.
"Onee-Chan!" She hugged her Big sister.
"Mae, where did you go?" Haruhi said at her sister.

"Sensei want me to go in Office Onee-Chan," she smiled and.
They walked to the the club room.
Tamaki hugged Haruhi and Mae to death.
"Hello my lovely daughter, how's your day?" He said.

"We're fine sempai." They said in unison.
"I'm going to my friends" Mae escaped in Tamaki.
She greeted the two cousins.
"Hello Honey-sempai, Mori-sempai"
"Mae-Chan!" Honey tackle her a hug.

"Want some cake Mae-Chan?" Honey said flowers surrounding him.
"No, thank you sempai. Maybe tomorrow?" She smiled at her sempai.
"Okay!" He went to his seat and Mori-smiled at her. She nodded and went to her friends.

"Hello how's school today" she said smiling at them.
"We're fine," the three said in unison.
"Where is the others?" She looked at them.

"Oh, my friend was sick since yesterday" the girl saddened.
"It's okay, I'm worried at her, can you say to her that I missed her, please take care for me?" She saddened.
The girls nodded, she smiled warmly.
"Thank you".

The girls shrieked.
She was chatting with them,
After a hour, Kyoya closed the club.
All girls exited giggling and whispering.

The twins wrapped their arms in Mae's waist.
"Hello Mae-" Hikaru.
"Why you didn't joined us-" Kaoru.
"In the cafeteria?" They said in perfect harmony.

"Because-" Mae was cut off by the angry Tamaki.
"You perverted twins! Don't touch my precious little daughter!"
The twins run and Tamaki chasing them.

"They are like a kids" Mae giggled at them.
"What is our team tomorrow Kyoya- sempai?" Haruhi questioned.
"We are going to have a outdoor Garden Tea Party tomorrow."Kyoya- said.
Mae looked at clock.
Her eyes widened.
"Uh Kyoya-sempai, Shizuka-sensei wants to meet me in the Office, can I go?" Mae asked.

"You can go now" Kyoya said simply.
"Thank you" she bowed and walked away from them.
"Bye guys" she waves happily and closed the door.
They all blushed.
On the outside Mae walked in th front of the Office door,

Inhale, exhale
She pushed the door and see Shizuka was sitting in the table, she smiled.
Mae returned the smiled.
"Hello Shizuka-sensei," she bowed.
"I called you here because, someone wants to talk to you." She said.

She looked at the left corner, she see Mr. Souh was standing there.
"Kon'nichiwa Mr. Souh" she bowed.
"Ms. Fujioka, you're the one I pick who will sing for 1st Year. You will chose who will your group. This will be a secret conversation." Mr. Souh said smiled.

Me!?
Mae was shocked but smiled appears on her face
"I am grateful that you chose me Mr. Souh. I will try my best." She smiled warmly to him.
"Good, I will schedule it. Mrs. Shizuka?" He called her.
"Yes?"

"You can go now, Thank you Ms. Fujioka" he happily said.
They both bow, exiting in the door.
After a seconds,
"You can do it!" Shizuka cheered her.
"Thank you Shizuka-sensei" she smiled. She say good bye to their teacher, walking in the gate,
She sighed.

This is will be long year.
