"I'm never drinking water again."
I hate being sick. Mama said I can't go outside and my teacher can't come over today! I even got help with my spelling words from Trenton, before I got sick. Even he can't see me because he goes to big kid school all day.
I tried to sleep, but it made me throw up more. Mama gave me medicine and called my doctor.
I can't eat my goldfish and chocolate milk because the fishies keep swimming out my mouth. I look up at mama, I'm never drinking water again." She laughs at me a little bit and sits next to me.
"You'll be fine baby," she whispers and kisses me head. "Trenton can't come over today baby. He is with his friends." My eyes get watery because he said he will come see me after school.
I sigh and lay down because I am really tired. Mama kisses my head again and rubs my back until I fall asleep.
~~~~~
I wake up and my tummy doesn't hurt that bad, but my throat hurts. I see the sun outside of my window and smile; I slept and didn't throw up!
I get out of bed and run to my door, but then run back to my bucket and throw up. Uh oh, I said spoke too soon.
When I don't feel like I' going to throw up I slowly walk down the stairs. I go into the kitchen and see Mama and Daddy talking, but I go over to them anyways.
"Good morning Mama!" I say to her, she smiles and picks me up.
"Morning Baby. How do you feel?" I shrug and Daddy touches my forehead.
"I feel gross," I tell them. "I really want to take a bath." They both look at me and Daddy nods.
"Okay, I'll go start the water," he kisses my head and walks away. Mama gives me half a toast, "try to eat this first. Okay?" I nod and take a small bite and it doesn't come back up. Mama puts me in my chair and I eat my toast.
When I'm done I drink a tiny bit of water and Mama gives me medicine. It tastes gross!! Why do they make it say grape when it doesn't taste like grapes? But Mama says the grosser it tastes the better it works. I believe her because it always works.
Daddy walks back in to the kitchen and looks at me, "ready for your bubble bath madam?" I laugh at him because he is talking like one of Grampie and Grammie's worker people. He wears a fancy looking outfit all the time and when Grammie is in the room he never laughs! I think he is scared of her.
Daddy picks me up and holds his nose, "hoowie, have you been hanging out with Pepe LePew?" I shake my head and laugh again, "no Daddy! He isn't here!" Daddy brings me into the bathroom and sets me on the floor. "Well let's make you smell like flowers again shall we?"
I nod and lifts my arms high above my head and Daddy covers his nose again. "P. U. girl. You smell." He laughs and pulls my nighty up and tries getting it over my head. "I think you need new nighties girl. Your head is too big!"
I help him get it off me, "but Daddy that one is my favorite!" I hold it away from him. "I don't want a different one." He slowly takes it from me.
"I'll ask Grammie to make you another one just like this one. Okay?" He puts it in the dirty clothes basket and I nod. He smiles and nods back. "Let's get your socks off okay?" I lift my foot for him and he kneels down and takes it off, along with the other one. He then Picks me up and puts me in the bubble bath. I sigh and play with the warm water. Daddy gets the water cup and pours water on my hair making me warmer and washes my hair.
~~~
After my bath Mama gets me dressed and we go into the garden. The tea party got cleaned up already. I walk to the Treehouse and look up. Mama says I can't go up there yet because I'm not big enough. It looks really scary up that high and I walk back to Mama. She is sitting with a basket of flowers and making a flower hair thingy. She looks at me and I watch her make it, then sh puts it on my hair.
"There you go chicka," she smiles at me. "Just like a princess." I giggle and and then frown.
"Mama when will I feel all better?" She puts her other flower thingy on the grass and looks at me again. "When your body decides to."
I nod and get up, bringing my kitty stuffy with me. I walk around the garden, making sure I can see Mama at all times.
