Feeling better, but getting depressed
"You haven't been over in forever!"
"Relax it was only six months. Gods you are so annoying."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm laying under the table when Trenton comes over. Mama and Daddy are away for a week, so I get to be with Gramp for the whole time! He said that Trenton and his parents are coming over for supper with us. I haven't seen him for a long time.
The front door opens and I see, '1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,' legs. Sorry, I had to count them to make sure I told you the right things.
I stay on the floor, looking at them on my side. Trenton looks at me and doesn't say anything, so I get up and run to him and give him a big hug. He doesn't hug me back, "you haven't been here in forever!"
He just rolls his eyes, "Relax, it was only six months. Gods you are so annoying."
I step away from him and feel my eyes water, "I hate you!" I scream all my anger and sadness at him and run outside. I ignore everybody saying my name and calling to me. He was my best friend and he was mean to me.
I go to the only place I can get away from them; the tree house.
I get to the tree and start climbing, but someone pulls me down, "put me down." I try fighting the person, but the carry me back to the house and put me on the couch. I look at Trenton, who is sitting next to me; looking bored. I growl at him.
"What are you? A dog?"
I huff and cross my arms, "butthead."
"I heard that," mumbles and hits me with a pillow. I gasp and jump on him.
"You stupid meany head!" I try hitting him, but he starts tickling me and I stop.
"I was only teasing you Rosy," whispers to me and stops tickling me. I look at him and don't say anything as he wipes my tears away. "I didn't mean to make you sad."
"But you said I was annoying," I hiccup. He nods and sighs; holding me. "I know Princess. I know."
He then smiles at me and holds a present in my face, "I'm sorry I was gone. I'm going back for a few months again." I gasp and hug him.
"No!" I protest, "please don't go again. You will be gone for my birthday and I want you there. Mommy is letting me get a pony for it."
He sighs and holds me close to him, "I know Princess, but I have to."
I shake my head, "no you don't." I wipe my face. "I won't see you ever again now cuz I'm gonna be all growed up."
He smiles at me, "don't grow up too fast. Okay?"
I nod and play with his shirt, "will you be all growed up and have a baby with a girl? And not be my friend?"
Trenton's smile turns upside down and he shakes his head, "I don't want to have a baby with a girl and not be you're friend."
I sniffle and hug him again, "please don't leave me again. I missed you so much when you were gone." I look at him again and then ask him to take off my necklace, "here. Take it so you can have me with you."
He smiles and puts it on. He looks funny with a crown necklace on, but he smiles at me and tucks it in his shirt. "Now I will have you with me all the time." He whispers and kisses my forehead. "My princess."
He hands me the present and I open it. I smile when I find a teddy bear in it. "Thank you Tent!"
He chuckles and smiles, "now you can have me with you all the time too."
I nod and hug the teddy, "I'm going to name him Tent."
