Chapter 5

Everyone began preparing and gathering things the minute they woke up. McKenzie and Cameron were ready to go. "Got your backpack Cam?" Brandon gave Cameron a friendly nudge. "Yeah. I'm kinda scared." he sighed. "Yeah , me too. just be careful. take care of that girl , she seems fragile." Cameron smirked slightly. "I promise . I will" he said softly. Brandon gave him a weird look . "Well , anyways dude. better get going before Tianna gets in one of her 'moods'"he joked. Brandon chuckled "Alright. bye."

Cameron and McKenzie packed knives in their backpacks , along with food and pencils and fake blood. They were ready. They escaped through the back door that hadn't opened in over a month. Cameron held a death grip on McKenzie's hands as he prayed he wouldn't get caught. He hoped no one would notice him. They his behind trees and and cars and stores. He walked to the backdoor of the first school they arrived of Jhon B Little .  McKenzie gave him an unsure look, he nodded at her confidently and sighed while hesitantly knocking on the door. As soon as his fist hit the glass , he heard soft cries and commotion sound from inside the school. "Their here. " he heard a small child whisper. A tall young woman approached the door 7 minute later. It seems like they did everything in their power to hide as many people as possible , they thought he was apart of the mafia. "Who are you?" the horror was very obvious in the girls voice . "I'm Cameron ." "And I'm McKenzie"  They both reached out their hands to greet the girl , she did not shake their hands , instead she backed up in fear. "What do you want?.." she asked softly. "We need you to help us, we've only got 7 weeks until mafias come get the kids they know we're at school. Just let us in and we'll explain.". "I don't think so. - " she replied bluntly " I wouldn't trust you if my life depended on it. " "Your life does depend on it." McKenzie said desperately. "Look......, what's it gonna take for you to let us in, if we were the mafia we would've already barged into the school by now and did whatever the mafia would come here to do but we just want to talk to you". The girl looked both Cameron and McKenzie up and down suspiciously. "Fine." she let them in
