Lockdown

Chapter 6

Cameron and McKenzie walked in and almost heard crickets , it was absurdly quiet.  "Where is everyone.." he asked the girl. "Sh." she hissed back at him as she walked toward the library. "The coast is clear!! WE HAVE A FEW VISITORS EVERYONE TO THE AUDITORIUM."

She called out ,a flock of confused and afraid students ran out from every door possible .She looked back at Cameron , McKenzie had already followed them. Cameron ran up to her, " Are we really supposed to be doing it this way.?" he asked "You don't have a choice."  replied a boy that walked beside them.  The young boy didn't bother to even look them in the eye ' he just kept walking.

Once everyone was settled Cameron and McKenzie made their way to the wooden stage. "Um... Obviously you're all aware of the crisis that happened a month ago." Cameron stated shyly. "We must come together, you see... a student from our school overhead the mafia say we have 7 weeks until they come for us. We knew we couldn't fight them off on our own and.....-" '

" Why should we help you?!" an angry student yelled out from the crowd. "Simple.. they're not only coming to our school , they'll come to yours too.'" McKenzie replied. "We need some of your strongest most intelligent most determined students to come and help us." "Why us.." another crowd member called out. McKenzie looked to Cameron for the answer , he was the one who led them to the school. " Because , you're insanley talented , and also the closest school to us that... made it. " He sighed. "Fine , we'll go  how many do you need?" The girl who opened the door asked . "10-30" McKenzie said softly.Everyone agreed and immediately fled the auditorium , the intermediate grades made their way up the stairs and into the hallway where the lockers were. "Alright! We need smart people , people who can wrap their brains around anything. Kaleb , Samuel and Lucus youre our smartest boys Hilary , Emily and Nealy you're our smartest girls , we also need people who are strong physically Ashton,  Eric , Mark, Joshua and Jay you're all going. Ladies , Ali , Isabelle, Lana , Nichole, Ria  and S- " "Oh hell no , I'm not going anywhere out there are you crazy?" a girl yelled out from behind the crowd. Nichole rolled her eyes "you're sucha gg Sora." The girl rolled her eyes back at her unimpressed friends. "Does anyone else want to go!!" "We do!" Eight boys ran to us excitedly "We can fight off the bad guys too." Cameron and McKenzie nodded "Sure!!" she smiled, "Ugh , please don't bring any of those idiots with you." "Ali , lay off.. remember this is life or death." One of the boys responded. "Who's gonna stay here and guard the school." The leader called out ." I'll do it. My name is Anestaisa  , I'm the president of this school." she smiled. "Are you insane? We can't have our president killed." One of the 'smart boys' said in disbelief . "Dont be stupid Kaleb , you'll die before I do." she laughed. " Cameron looked down at his phone. "We have to go." He said looking at McKenzie eagerly. "Can we please come." one of the boys of 8 asked. "Fine....fine whatever let's just sneak out of here , the security guards are probably already out." Everyone packed their things and left. This was going to be a long journey.
