Eden--
Still a little cautious I lead Arthur through town, heading for a little path near the edge of town. "Hey Ella!! Who's ze man with you?" Someone calls, stepping out of a shops doorway. I smile and wave, "Oh hello Piere! This is Arthur...he's visiting for the day."I reply. Piere smirks and looks at Arthur, then back to me. "Keep your eye on zis one...you never know what men will do." He says laughing. I roll my eyes and pull Arthur along. Arthur looks back confused and annoyed. "He reminds me of that darn frog...Ella was that a French accent he had?" He asks, stopping me. "Yeah, King Phillip talks that way too along with many others. It's actually quite common, after one of the four founders were French." I say then keep pulling him along, not wanting to be stuck in the forest between the town and my home when it gets dark. We finally come to the path and Arthur again looks confused. "You live out there?" he asks. I nod, "The old palace is still out there, when they abbandoned it it became mine...It was a pretty big fixer uper but I couldnt just let it fall apart." I say walking down the shadowy path. Arthur walks up behind me and i jump, not used to walking with someone down this path. I bite my lip to keep from squealing in fright and keep walking,Arthur right on my tail.
We finally come across a moderate sized building at the end of the winding forested path. I smile and run up to the door, ignoring the fact that Arthur had stopped at the end of the path to stare up at the building covered in ivy. Looking back i giggle then knock on the door, theres the sound of running footsteps and a smiling brunnett flings open the door. "Ella your home!!" She says, kissing me on both cheeks. "Hello Mia." I say, not returning her common welcome. Her eyes flick behind me and she smiles misheviously. "Who's he?" She purrs. Arthur looks at Mia a little bothered, he walks up closer and bows his head. "Hello. I'm Arthur." He replies but pulls away before she could kiss him on the cheeks too. I laugh as Mia sighs dissapointed. "Toni's not going to like this...."I distinctively hear her mutter under her breath. Almost as if on cue a taller, tan brunnett with dark brown eyes like his sister's walks up smiling at me then notices Arthur beside me. His eyes narrow and he grabs my wrist and pulls me inside, trying to slam the door in his face. Arthur only puts his foot in the door and gently pushes it open, gaining an angry look from the boy holding onto me. I look up at Toni and sigh. "The Elder sent him with me. Arthur will be staying with us tonight." I say hoping this would calm him down. He looks down at me and sighs then lets me go and waves Arthur inside. Mia grabs Toni's sleeve and pulls him off, probably toward the kitchen to help her and the middle sister Nerin. Once they're gone i close the door and lock it behind him. I lead him over to a pair of worn down couches and sit down across from him. "So what's everyone else like?" I ask curiously, leaning on the arm of the couch and looking at him in a childish fashion. Arthur sighs, "You could meet them you know.." he says. I look confused and nervously at him. "There's a world meeting in three days, and after your a country you need to attend." he finishes. My eyes widen and i look away remembering all the elder had said about several of the other countries. The couch shifts a little as i notice him get up and sit down beside me. "Don't worry, as long as i'm around i wont let a single one of them lay a hand on you. Also you can stay at my house till then." He says patting me on the arm, oddly enough it's acctually comforting. I look at him and sigh, giving in way to easily. "Sure...It's only a meeting after all how bad could it be?" I reply. Arthur smiles, then Mia runs into the room pulling us from our chat. "Dinner!" she yells, grabbing us both by our sleeves. I shrug and let her drag me along, glancing at Arthur who doesnt look pleased with her behavior. We finally reach the dinning room and I freeze realizing somthing's missing. "I'll be right back, we forgot the tea." I say quickly, dashing back out the door towards the kitchen.
I lift the tea tray off the counter and carefully walk back to the dining room, hoping Arthur wasn't being bothered by my housemates. With my back pressed against the door i push it open, backing carefully into the room. I sit it down on the table and hand everyone their glass, already filled with the freshly made tea. Taking my cup in one hand i make my way over to an empty seat beside Arthur. He goes to stand but i wave my hand to stop him from standing. "The elder actually let a foreigner into your house....of all places....Who is he anyway?" Nerin chimes, her eyes looking over our guest skepticly. Arthur looks kind of confused and offended by this statement but shrugs it off, taking a sip of his tea. I glance over at him, wondering how i should answer that. "His name's Arthur and it's just for a night, the plane doesnt take off till noon tomarrow." I say, not mentioning anything about him being like me. Toni had been spending alot of time with the Elder and had learned who to keep away from me, meaning he'll continue to harbor more and more hatred for the poor Brit. After that most of dinner is silent, most to busy eating to say anything else. The entire time Toni's cold glare never once leaves Arthur's direction. "Well if you'll excuse me, I think it would just be best if i went ahead to bed." Arthur says standing. I nod and stand too, pushing my chair under the table before leading him out of the room.
"The bathroom is three doors down on the left and if you need anything I'm the last door at the end of the hall." I state, watching Arthur nod and retreat into his guest room. "G'night." i say before walking off towards my own chambers.
England--
In the middle of the night i wake up and easily find my way to the bathroom. Sadly though i forget which way my room was. I wander down the hall and stop 3 doors down but look to the left then right, trying to remember which it was. With a sigh i pull open one door and flick on the light. I look around shocked from what i see, but walk inside to get a better look. My eyes scan the small concrete room and notice several large cuts in the floor and wall, then a small mat in the corner with a pillow. On one of the walls seemed to be a chalk drawing that seemed like somthing a kid would draw, especially since it seems there was a cartoon moustache on the manly face on the wall.Beside it was a large quantity of tick marks and i look away to see if i spotted anything else. I glance back at the far wall across from the door at a large gash in the stone and walk closer, shocked by the slighly faded red stain below it on the floor. "A-arthur? W-what are you doing in here?" a voice asks from behind me. I spin around shocked to be caught in a room that it seems i shouldnt be in. A shaking Eden looks at me completely, fear in her eyes for some odd reason and her hair in a slight frenzy like she had just gotten up. "Sorry..i got lost, but if you wouldnt mind me asking what is this room?" i ask, scared to know the answer even though Eden seems like too sweet of a girl for it to be too bad. "It's ok..b-but can we please leave? I'll tell you over a cup of tea." She stutters, clearly terrified of somthing. I nod and follow her out of the dreaded room, closing the door behind me after turning off the light. Eden sighs and grabs my wrist, pulling me along behind her.
Eden--
I take his wrist in my shaking hand, trying to force the now fresh memories flooding through my brain. Trying not to show too much fear i lead him into the room with the couches, letting go of his hand. Arthur looks at me questioningly as i go to fix some tea, still shaking. "Eden are you ok?" he asks. I nod and fake a smile before going off to fix the tea, after setting the kettle on the stove i run off to get somthing from my room.
Setting the book down on a tray i sigh, placing the tea and its kettle on the tray carefully. I pick it up and walk back out to where i had left Arthur. He looks up, yawning a little as i walk over and put down the tray. I hand him his cup and leave the book where it is just in case. "So, what was that room?" he asks politely, taking a sip of his tea while waiting for my answer. I look at my own cup, holding it in my lap. "My old room." i say, looking up to see his reaction. "More like a prison, who in their right mind would lock a young girl in a room like that?!" he practically yells. I just point to the book and watch him pick it up, looking over the cover puzzled. "It's in Chapter four." i say, prompting him to look for that dreaded mans name himself instead of me uttering the darned mans name aloud. "King ..Luther." he says, looking at me questioningly. "Yes, he was the third king. The son of the German founder of my country. L-lu....he had an issue, at first he was kind but then he started getting violent. I was constantly locked in there when he got angry, or i hid in there after getting hit." i say, the tea in my hands shaking as i tremble at the memory of the German. I feel several tears run down my cheeks and i hide my face behind my hands. The couch shifts a little and an arm wraps around me in a hug. "Sorry for bringing up bad memories, lets just go back to bed we're going to need our sleep for tomarrow." Arthur says, helping me up while i continue to cry.
