Chapter 8

In the distance I heard someone saying my name. Probably Axel. All the memories of being in the stalls and talking to Ryker came rushing back. I shot up and looked around Axel looked amused and Ryker looking confused and sleepy.

"Good morning Axel. How are you doing?" I asked smiling up at him. He shook his head at me.

"It's only 4 in the afternoon Victoria. Though I could see why you would think it was morning again." Axel smiled at me. I rolled my eyes but smiled back at him. "Well dinner is ready and Maria was worried about you. So hurry up and come eat everyone is waiting."

"Ok we'll be there in a second. Run on to Amber I'm sure she's waiting for you." I teased. He ran out of the stables laughing. I turned and looked at Ryker to see him already looking at me. I could only imagine what I must look like. "Reconsidering making me love you?"

"Never." He smiled lazily at me. I slightly smiled back and he tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. I blushed slightly and looked at the ground. "It's cute when you blush. You should do it more often."

"Whatever you think. But your still a popular ryder meaning you make a lot of girls blush." I said as he got up and pulled me up with him. He sighed and shook his head at me.

"No most of those girls are crazy or insane. Besides that they're not my mate. So I don't care if they blush." He laughed. I ran toward the house and he chased after me. It caused me to run all around the field to get away from him. I finally made it into the house out of breathe.

Ryker was right behind me breathing even harder than me. I smiled at him and he laughed at my childishness. We walked into the dining room after we caught our breathe.

"Raven I told you never be late to a dinner." Maria scolded me. Then popped me with a wooden spoon causing me to yelp. Jaxson laughed at me and I launched myself across the table at him. He fell back in the chair and pushed me off. He swung his fist at me and I ducked.

I lashed my leg out making him fall. He jumped back up and jumped on me. He pinned me down with his hands holding my wrist. But he forgot my legs so I kneed him in the crotch. He fell over holding himself but he grabbed a hand full of my hair pulling me with him.

I punched him in the nose making him let go and bleed. He hit me in my eye and tried to get up. I kicked his side and heard a cracking sound. He grabbed my ankle making me fall on my face and break my nose. I sat up holding my nose and snapped it back in place.

"I'm so glad I'm a wolf or my ribs and nose would still be broken." Jaxson mumbled. I smirked and looked at him.

"If Maria wasn't in here it would be a lot worse. You challenged me bro. That makes this all your fault besides it's always fun to beat your ass." I laughed. Jaxson frowned at me making him look adorable. Someone cleared their throat. We looked up at Axel and Amber. They tossed us a wet rag. So we wiped the blood of our faces and stood up. Only then did we realize everyone had been watching us.

"I'm glad we didn't fight about leaving the dragon alone. I think you might have beaten my ass." Cole said.

"Hell I think it makes her even sexier. Don't worry though you were already sexy." Kyle said winking. I shook my head.

"Fuck that. A human just beat my best friend. And he's a vampire and werewolf." Joshua yelled. I always forgot people just assumed I was a perfect girl.

"Excuse the hell out of me for being able to beat a supernatural. I was raised here with them. It's always been fun to wrestle around. If it bothers you so much then get the fuck over it." I yelled at the end and Axel walked over to me. He held my arms behind my back.

"Joshua do not challenge an alpha wolf that hasn't shifted yet. It is a very stupid move especially if it's a female alpha." Collin said calm yet sharply. I shook off Axel and took a deep breath. I sat in my chair and soothed a napkin over my legs. Everyone followed suit and Maria served us dinner. I grabbed Maria's arm lightly.

"Please put some vodka in my wine. I need to calm down." I whispered. Maria nodded and smiled at me. She brought my drink back out and I sipped on it while I ate. After everyone was done I stood up. "Father said that they could stay in the house and guest house. I am going to my dragon."

Fury please go to the stables so we can saddle up. I mind linked him, then walked up stairs to my room. I stripped as I walked into my room. I jumped into my shower letting the hot water run over my body before washing myself. I got out of the shower and rapped towel around my body. Jaxson sat on my bed with my two duffel bag beside him.

"I know we just got back but it's tradition for all new ryder to go to the tournament. It last for a week or more so I packed your bags for you. Everyone is going and dad is going to be there. He knows you're going just not why. He thinks you're going because of me. Now get dressed. We aren't staying here." Jaxson said and threw black sweat pants, a tank top, and underwear at me. He walked out and I got dressed. I grabbed my dark red and black Jordans and my dark red leather jacket. He left a sword and a few daggers so I strapped them on. I picked my duffel bags up and ran down stair to Maria.

"Mama Maria can I have 3 steaks? Oh yea and I want you to come to the tournament." I asked. She smiled and handed me the steaks. I kissed her cheek and stood back up straight.

"I'll be there. But do have a safe trip. Worrying about you two might just give my little old heart an attack." Maria joked. I ran outside and seen people trying to saddle Fury. Joshua tried to help but was almost bitten.

"Enough now. Saddle your own dragons and I'll saddle mine." I said walking over and grabbing Hunter's saddle off the ground. After I strapped his saddle on I gave him a steak. Then I moved on to Pierce. I knew everyone was waiting on me so I hurried up and put a blanket on Fury. I also gave him and Pierce a steak. I strapped my bag to Pierce's saddle.

"So your dragon is the white one right? Or is it the green one?" Joshua asked me. Fury, Pierce, and Hunter rolled their eyes and so did I. They looked at each other and I knew they were planning something but I ignored it.

"So you know they do have names. But no Pierce nor Hunter are mine though I would have been honored to have either one of them as my own. My dragon is Fury. He is an amazing dragon, my baby." I said. Fury huffed behind me before showing me all his teeth. Joshua jumped back along with everybody else except me and Ryker. "I think Fury is telling us it's time to go."

"Of course. We should be there soon. Father and mother are coming straight there." Jaxson said. Everyone nodded and climbed on their dragon.

"So who is leading since we have elders and Hunter has no ryder currently with us?" I asked and they all looked at me like I was stupid. Then Ryker's face softened toward me but not enough that everyone notice it.
