Argh! I. Hate. Cyclops! Let me just put it in words that are appropriate. I. HATE. CYCLOPS! But what makes it even worse is that I have to run! No charm-speaking, no building anything to blow it up, nothing! Just plain old running! And I hate it.
"Hey Leo! How about we blow some cyclops butts?!"
"Hey! I have an idea! How about no?!" Percy responded from the sea.
"I wasn't asking you kelp head!"
"Well I'm telling you Max! No means no!"
I grunted as I watched Piper use her charm speak. No fair! That should be me slowing the cyclops down, not Piper! I watched as she soothed the cyclops to sleep, her braid falling over her shoulder. Then I watched as Jason killed it and then watching them make-out. I crossed away from Leo to go to Annabeth. "Why aren't you guys allow me to fight?" I asked her, spitting out each word. Annabeth turned to me, her blond hair tied back in a low pony-tail.
"You're only 12 years old. We can't risk you getting killed."
"Hey! Tomorrows my birthday so soon I'll be 13."
"Yeah, but we still don't want you dead."
"I'd rather die fighting than die of boredom." Annabeth just laughed and then turned to whisper something to Percy. He then looked at me and started laughing historically. Percy then crossed to me and knelt down at my side.
"Listen Max. I've told you this. And I don't want to tell you this again. SO LISTEN UP... you have no freaking idea how to fight. The only reason I agreed to this is so then your brother will be happy. So just lay off the fighting ok?" I nodded, feeling the tears swelling in my eyes.
"I'm gonna go and finish Nico's sword." I choked out. Percy nodded and I ran up the hill to camp half-blood, sobbing all the way.
