I hissed as the figure walked in and I slumped to the farthest corner from the door. My eyes focused quickly on the person walking in. It was the annoying spiderman. Argh! But he wasn't alone, unfortunately all of the avengers including the pirate came in. Followed then by agents bringing in weapons and other such things. I acted like Nico and tried to blend into the shadows. It was so hard. Well duh, I'm not a shadow traveler! I mentally slapped my head. My eyes followed the mortals as they all leaned on the wall, looking directly at me.
I buried my head in my knees, there's no way in Hades that they are making me talk.
"Good morning." The blondie guy says. I clench my teeth and stare harder at the ground. They murmur for a second, then silence.
"We brought you food." I grunted, amused.
"We brought you my handsome face." Says the all to familiar spiderman, I clench my fists and look up at them. They all look genuinely blank with no expression. But I can see it in their eyes. They never told me there names, but I immediately know it, thank you Annabeth.
"Clint." I say, pointing to the guys closest to the pirate.
"Natasha." I point to the woman.
"Peter. Or an annoying idiot." I point to spiderman.
"Tony." I point to the guy next to Peter looking as non-surprised as possible.
"Steve." I say, pointing to the blondie.
"Thor, a god I think." I point to the long haired blondie, he nods smiling. Finally some emotion!
"And lastly." I stand up and walk closer to the pirate. "You are Nick. Nick Fury." They all look shocked except for Thor.
"How did you know?" Natasha asked.
"Instinct. But let me guess Natasha, your undercover name is Natalie? Huh, funny if it is. That was the girl who tried to kill me in first grade." I immediately cursed and went back to my corner and put my head in my hands. Before anyone could speak, I cut them off. "You all consider yourselves superheroes. That's a laugh. Considering you weren't there to save me." I shake my head slightly. "Well, let me get one thing straight before you guys question me okay? You guys suck at your 'jobs' and I'm not spilling anything." I looked up to see Fury's face turn from surprise to anger. He makes a gesture to the agents and one of them picks up a gun and the other grabs me.
"We were going to ask you politely, but that is now ruined by your unneeded protest. Now, we will go by pain." I grunt and my jaw tightens as I hear a gunshot. I feel excruciating pain in my leg after ten seconds. I looked down to see a bullet hole in my thigh. I feel light headed. I shake my head and curse in Greek.
"Mortals." I whisper under my breath.
"Again!" No! Please not again. Click! Boom! Pain fills my foot. I see the rest of the 'superheroes' wince. I know what he's trying to prevent me from doing. He doesn't want me to walk. I try to escape the agent who is holding me, but he just grips harder and pull my hair.
"You call yourselves heroes?" I ask them, the pain making my voice crack. Steve looks down with unspoken guilt. I spit at their feet. I remember a song that mom use to sing to calm me down. I sang it out loud while the agents kept shooting me repetitively in the leg and down.
"The river she is flowing, flowing and growing. The river she is flowing, down to the sea.
Mother carry me. Child I will always be. Mother carry me down to the sea.
The river she is flowing, flowing and growing. The river she is flowing, down to the sea.
Mother carry me. Child I will always be. Mother carry me down to the s-"
I stopped abruptly as a bullet entered my leg where the last bullet did and I blacked out with mom's song still playing on repeat. I didn't have a nightmare. Just the comfort of my own song, in this discomforting world.
