Laura Hollis is a young 19 year old who aspires to be a journalist. She attends Silas University where she studies the very subject that she wants to become her career.
Laura has many friends, Danny, a tall ginger girl who protects Laura to the best that she can, then you have Lafontaine, a bio major, who is always up for an experiment, then we have Perry, the mother of the group, when I say mother, perry has all the nurturing and caring qualities that any mother should have and lastly we have Kirsch. Kirsch is a typical frat boy with the biggest heart, he helps the girls and Laf whenever he can, without the Zetas knowing of course.

Camilla Karnstein is a 334 year old vampire, trapped. Not physically trapped but trapped in a sense that she can't get away from her mother.
For 300 years Carmilla has been giving her mother young girls as sacrifices, not willingly, you see, Carmilla is terrified of her mother.

A few years back Carmilla fell in love with a young girl name El, she didn't want to give this one as a sacrifice. When Carmillas mother, not biological, found out about the love affair she ordered her men to kill El which left Carmilla completely broken up inside and vowed that she would never make friends with anyone to save them from dying because that's the way it works with Carmilla's mom. She gets jealous and she kills anyone who stands in the way of what she wants.
Carmilla has many brothers and sisters. Not biologically of course. Majority of them she couldn't give a shit about and then we have the ones she does care for. Mattie and Will, even if Will is a momma's boy. The three stick up for each other and they protect each other.

Laura wakes to a knock on the door. "Ugh, who is it" she said, she had been up all night revising for her upcoming test and she hadn't gotten much sleep. "That's a lovely way to greet a new roommate", when Laura heard this her head popped up to see where the voice was coming from. There, standing at the door was a young girl, dark hair, dark pants and a dark leather jacket and absolutely beautiful. Her eyes were fixated on this girl because she didn't know whether she was really standing there or whether Laura was having a really lucid dream.
"Hey cupcake, you okay?" The girl asks and that's when Laura knew that there was actually someone standing in her room. She jumped up out of bed.
"Oh hi, sorry, I was just napping, haven't been sleeping much lately" Laura explains to the girl, "I'm Laura by the way" she said as soon as she was close enough to extend her hand for a hand shake.
The girl looks at Laura's hand, smirked and walked past Laura to the vacant bed.
Well that was rude, Laura thought to herself, she brushed it off and tried to make conversation.
Laura had been waiting to get a new roommate since her last one Betty decided that she wasn't right for the Silas life. By the Silas life I mean, people disappearing, giant mushrooms just randomly appearing, I actually think I seen a vampire around here once.
"So, are you going to tell me your name?" Laura asks, with a bit more fire, just to show the girl that she wouldn't stand for anything. The girl lifted her head from the book that she was reading and said "My name is Carmilla" and smiled at Laura.
Laura then replied "Well it's very nice to meet you Carmilla and I hope you enjoy it here, it's not much but it's home so yeah" Laura looked away embarrassed hoping that Carmilla hadn't realised her annoying talent for babbling.
----------------------------------------------
Carmilla had been in this room for five minutes and this little ball of sunshine was already starting to annoy her, although this little ball of sunshine was the most beautiful person Carmilla had ever seen, which included her past love. Just thinking of El made Carmilla sad.
Just as I was just getting into the story that I was reading, the blonde girl started speaking again she started off by asking for my name "My name is Carmilla" I said and I went back to my book and the next thing I hear the girl babble on about how the room is home and that it was nice for her to meet me, she won't be thinking that soon.
I looked up when the girl had stopped talking and I had seen she was looking away and she was blushing and I'm not going to lie, was the cutest thing I have ever seen.
"Its nice to meet you too cupcake."
