I sit on the bed, blood steadily flowing out of the girls wrists. Drip, drip, dripping onto the now stained carpet below. The pain visible on her somber face. Her breathing steadily slowing as more and more blood left her veins.
"Sweetie!" A familiar voice rang through the now quiet room. A thick layer of annoyance covering the sweet word.
"Can you come down for dinner please? My friends want to catch up with you!" The thump of her mothers footsteps rang up the stairs, slightly dulled by the thick wood door.
"Sweetie?" Confusion rang through her mothers soft voice as she creaked open the door slowly. Her head poking through the small opening. Her eyes flickered around the room, landing on her limp daughter, lying deathly still on bed, her own blood surrounding her.
"OH MY GOD!! SWEETIE!" Her voice was shrill as she burst through the cracked door, taking her daughter in her arms, trying to stop the heavy bleeding.
"SOMEONE COME UP HERE AND HELP ME! CALL 911!" She grasped around in her pockets, trying to find her phone. When she finally did she quickly called 911 and quickly loaded her daughter into the back of the ambulance, rushing to the hospital. Grabbing me to take along with her.

We sat in the hospital room for some time, waiting for them to stitch the girl up and let her mother inside to see her. Her mother cried the whole time as we sat in the waiting, hugging me close to her chest, blocking my view of the room around me.
"Hello, are you..." the doctor approached her mother, causing her to clutch me tighter and tighter.
"How is my daughter! Tell me that she's ok!" She jumped out of the chair, letting me fall into the chair below her.
"Well, let me talk to you about this on the other room." She quickly snatched me out of the chair, holding me close as her body tensed up, bracing for what the doctor was about to tell her.
