A Potential Rival

Budo's pov
"Hey Budo...!" Taro called, jogging into the martial arts club. I turned smiling slightly, but not a full smile, as I realised that Ayano wasn't there.
"Hey...."

Taro punched me playfully on the arm, smirking cheekily at me.
"What the hell happened back there? You can't just walk out of class bud, miss is going to kill you..." Taro stated, crossing his arms.
I laughed slightly. "Just felt a bit creeped out..." I lied. He smirked, narrowing his eyes.
"Oh yeah.. Got a little scared did you...?"

"Not at all... Where is Aya...?" I asked, walking into the changing rooms and getting into my school uniform once again.
"I actually don't know, she trailed me all the way here, but now she's disappeared..." I heard him mutter.
Trailed him all the way here? That sound like something she'd do...

"Oh ok.." I said, opening the changing room doors and walking out into the corridor, Taro followed behind me.

Ayano's PoV
I stood waiting behind the wall to the martial arts club, Taro had gone in there... I don't know why though...
Suddenly, Budo walked out, Taro behind him.
"Rrrr Budo get out of the way..!" I thought myself, my eyes narrowing.

Suddenly, a red haired girl with long pigtails ran up to them from the other corridor, I quickly hid myself against the wall, slowly peeping my head over.
Who da hell is that bitch!

"Taro! Taro! You haven't talked to me all day today! You were supposed to walk to school with me!!" She yelled, clenching her fists.
Who does she think she is?
"Sorry... I walked to school with Budo and another friend.." Taro said awkwardly, rubbing his head.
"Well you were supposed to be walking with me!!"
Suddenly, Budo's eyes met mine in a flash, startling me slightly. He looked over at me confused, I nodded to that bitch pigtails, mimicking her actions. He started doing a cutting motion with his hand across his neck, probably warning me to shut it, and to not come over. But that bitch wasn't going to stop me talking to my Senpai!
I slowly stepped into the conversation, clasping my hands together sweetly.
"Umm hey... Are you okay Taro?" I smiled. He turned to me, a bit shocked.

"WHO THE HELL IS THIS!!" The girl screamed, pointing angrily at me. I was taken aback, and angry at her rudeness. I felt someone hands on my shoulder, slowly edging me out of the conversation.
"Yeah... We really need to go..." Budo whispered in my ear, a nervousness in his voice. I shook my head, stepping out of his reach.
"Taro...? Is there anything you need me for...?" I asked innocently.
"WHO IS SHE TARO! TELL ME NOW..." The girl yelled, her face red as she towered over me, making me suddenly feel very intimidated.
"Aya! We really really need to go now...!" Budo whispered softly, but harshly into my ear. I didn't object this time, letting him grab my hand why did he grab my hand? And lead me down the stairs, away from that girl's shouting.
"Who is that?" I asked him, pulling my hand away from his as we came out of view.
"Osana Najimi... She's Taro's childhood friend..." He answered, rolling his eyes at the thought of her.
"Oh... Childhood friend?" I sighed. She could potentially be a rival then... A rival to get Taro.. My senpai..

Budo's PoV
Yeah, she loves him.. It's pretty obvious...
My hand were still tingling from when it held hers, I bet she wasn't feeling the same way though. She'd love it if Taro held her hand instead.
Before we knew it, we had both walked silently to the door to the courtyard, she turned to me, smiling faintly.
"I need to go talk to Hanoko... Bye Budo, oh and thanks for getting me out of that..." She said, before slowly walking away.

"Yeah... Bye Aya..."
A sudden drought of sadness came over me as I walked to next class alone, the thought of Ayano still playing on my mind... She loves Taro, not me... I sat down at my desk and glanced over at Aya's chair, Taro sat in front of her. The chair itself was empty, and it stayed like that for the rest of the week...
