Budo's POV
I walked on my own to school. Taro was walking with Osana, like he promised, and Ayano was no where to be seen. I sighed in relief, I wanted to keep my distance from her at all costs.
"Hey Budo..!"
I turned, coming face to face with Ryuto, running towards me. I put on a fake smile, waiting for him to catch up with me.
"Hey..."
Ryuto stopped, noticing my fake smile."What's wrong? You look pretty lonely my friend...!" He said, patting me harshly on the back. I started walking towards the school.
"I'm not lonely, and nothings wrong..." I lied, glancing back at him. He ran up beside me.
"So, where's Taro?""With Osana..." I replied bluntly, looking ahead to the school. I heard a faint sigh from Ryuto, but I ignored it.
A silence came over us, but Ryuto soon broke it, saying worriedly "are you sick?"This alarmed me slightly, seeing as though I did feel a bit off today... The headaches and mild weakness. I stopped walking and turned round. "No... Why?"
Ryuto's POV
I looked into Budo's pale confused face, it was hard to tell if he was lying, but it didn't look like it.
"Your face... you look sick..." I replied, watching his eyes drop to the floor. He pocketed his phone and carried on walking.
"Do I...?" I heard him mutter. I ran up to him and joined his walking pace, staying beside him.
"Yeah you do, pale face, red eyes... it's weird..." I exclaimed, looking at him in concern.I couldn't lie, something definitely seemed off with him today, ever since I first saw him on the path... Alone. He shook his head.
"I feel fine, honestly..." He said, entering the school gates. We walked through the entrance, Budo going to his locker. I opened mine and placed my shoes inside, replacing them with my school ones. Once I was done, I walked around the other side to Budo, but he was gone.Ayano's POV
"Hey Taro..?"
"Yeah what is it?"
"Here have this..."
"Wha..! You made me lunch?"
"No Baka... I.. I just made to much food this morning.. That's all.."
"Ah well thank you Osana.."
"No problem.."
I growled, clenching the branches of the bush I hid behind.
"Osana thinks she can sweeten MY senpai!" I yelled in my head, glaring at the two as they walked together into the school. "She's going to have another thing coming..."I stood up and brushed off the leaves on my school uniform, tightening my pony tail.
"Oh... Hey Ayano.." Shima said, coming up to me. I smiled at her.
"Hey Shima.."
She stopped catching her breath.
"Have you seen Budo this morning...?"I blinked, remembering the new friend.
"No I haven't... why do you need him?""I have found a new potential recruit for the martial arts club and wanted to tell him... Say.. Ayano would you like to join the martial arts club? I think you'd be good it, and Budo would happily recruit you in and train you!" She asked, excited all of a sudden.
"Do you think? Hmm, I'll think on it Shima.." I smiled, walking towards the school. I heard her shout to me "That's amazing! Thank you Ayano!" I scoffed to myself, but inside, I knew I needed a bit of martial arts training. Maybe joining wouldn't be so bad...
Budo's POV
"I asked Aishi-San if she wanted to join too, she said she'll think on it.." Shima said happily as I got changed in the changing cubicle. I froze, my hands stopping at the fourth button of my school shirt.
"Did you...?" I muttered, doing up the rest of the buttons and picking up my black blazer, shaking off my lingering headache.
"Yeah, it looked like she is going to join.. That's going to be awesome! Don't you think Budo?"
I slipped my arms in the sleeves, doing up the two buttons at the front, then opening the curtain, stepping out into the room. I looked at her. "Yeah... yeah it's brilliant.."She smiled, before walking out of the room, leaving me alone to lock up. I stepped out into the busy hallway, taking out the keys and locking the door.
"Hey Budo.." Said an all to familiar voice
I turned to face her, keeping in my desperate sigh. She has to show up when I feel like this.. doesn't she?
"What is it Mina...?"
"You look like your unhappy to see me Darling?"
"Maybe it's because I am, and don't call me darling...!"
She pouted slightly, her arms crossed around a leather bound book she was holding.
"Stop being so snappy!" She whined, her brown eyes looking up at me with frustration. My own eyes fell down to the book she had clasped in her hands. "What's that...?"
Her face lit up and she almost jumped up in the air with excitement. "This book! Is the answer to everything!" She yelled happily, hopping up and down on the spot. I rolled my eyes slightly... And now i've fucking set her off again... Well done Budo!
"Yeah... Okay.. Well, I need to go. Uh... I'll see you later..." I spoke, slowly inching away from her. Her face dropped slightly.
"Please don't go..! Budo honey!" She screeched, attempting to catch me as I jumped down the stairs.
Once I had outran her, I came to a halt, leaning against the corridor wall and catching my breath. My ribs ached slightly from sprinting, with was weird to me because it had never happened before, but why now? I looked hesitantly up at the clock on the wall opposite me, my eyes squinting to slightly to even see the numbers... But as much as I tried, they all just meshed together in one big blur of colour once again. My head ached fiercely, and before I knew it, I was sitting, hunched up in the corner, my back against the wall and my head pressed into my knees. The pain was unreal, it felt like I had no control over my body... Like I was falling unconscious without knowing it.
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang through my ears, calling my name over and over, the sound of footsteps against the floor.Ayano's PoV
"Budo?!" Taro yelled suddenly, running down the corridor. My eyes widened slightly as I noticed who is was running to, and who he was shaking. Budo sat in the corner of the hallway, his head buried into his knees.
I ran towards them both, kneeling beside Taro.
"Taro what's wrong with him?" I asked worriedly, looking to Taro, who was shaking him constantly."I don't know...? Budo!" Taro yelled once again, over his coughs. The boy shook uncontrollably, raising his head slightly in pain. His face was almost white and his eyes were all red and half opened. He looked on the brink of death.
"Budo...?" I spoke softly, placing a hand on his and squeezing it. He became quieter, his head leaning limply against the wall beside him, his breathing heavy.
I looked around for anyone that could have done this to him, or anything that could help, that's when I saw her...
A red haired girl with glasses covering half of her face was staring over at us from behind the wall, her face lit up in achievement. When my eyes laid on her, she turned and vanished, her red hair flicking behind her.
I didn't know who that girl was, or why she was there... But whoever she was, she was watching this all with pleasure, her wide grin still painted in my mind as she stood there and watched as this all happen...
I'll find out who she is and make her spill the truth..!Hey guys, thx for reading!
