A slim light breaks through the crack of Autumn's window, streaming across her light cream colored face.
The warm dusty air adorns her shivering body with comfort.

The soft plush bed, a blessing for a morning a such. Many noises begin to spew from outside, all so alien to Autumn's ears.

The countryside was solemn this busy and noisy. She leapt from her bed onto the cat tower to peer outside the foggy glass window.

Peering around, she could make out the whereabouts of her two-legs new nest. Across from them lay a barren open stretch of land, beside them were more little nests, planted around the land like a border. In the distance were tall square shapes, like the trunks of trees that aimlessly stuck out of the ground with no leaves.

Here, the sky was always a grey smog and the outside air was bitter scented. Autumn longed to wake up to the beautiful country sky once more, as the monotone grey no longer seemed to amuse her.

Suddenly, the bright golden eyes from her dream devour her thoughts, as a small strange feeling begins to well up in Autumn's chest. An indescribable feeling of longing. Much more powerful than her one for the country, one that makes her feel like she forgot something very dear to her.

Autumn stubbornly hops down from the ragged cat tower and dusts the hardwood floor with her puffy tail in attempt to forget. In her nest, Autumn was usually alone. Her and the female two-leg had moved here to the city after the many violent disputes back in the country.

Slowly strutting towards the bowl of pellets, she tilts her head at the cat door, that she has yet to use. Swiftly but surely she slinks past the food and out the door.

The world seems open and wonderous before Autumn's soft paws. The grass below tickles her feet and she bounds effortlessly across the small yard. Many wonderous sights to see, Autumn listens to the chiming morning melody around her. The light chatter of the songbirds, the sound of the ever-swaying trees, the twist of an ancient oak. All these familiar sounds of the country chorus.

Out of the corner of her eye, Autumn spots a flurry of brown.

"A mouse!" Autumn exclaims as she bounds after it on silent haunches. She can smell it now, delicious scent of its warmth makes her drool will delight. The mouse lets out a shriek as it bounds across the stretch of open field, Autumn follows it swiftly and greedily.

As soon as she catches up, she pounces around a tails length away. A sudden flash of the golden eyes steal her sight and she is knocked to the flat cold asphalt of the thunderpath. She lays immobilized for a moment, then proceeding to regain consciousness.

"Where am I now?" She questions to the dull sky, the only thing she recognizes. She sits a grooms out her prized tail before, setting off into the bright sun-high.

"I must find someone to help me find my way before night falls upon the city or I will be lost for good!" She murmurs to herself, wandering aimlessly and afraid down the treacherous winding paths of the city.
