The story is about 17 years old Alexandria Grimes who is trying to find her dad wants the outbreak happens. she is given nicknames from her new family throughout the story.
I gave him a nod and layed back down." Are you gonna sleep all day sweetheart?" Merle asked me while climbing in the tent with us. I nod my head and get my phone and earbuds out. I thank god that my phone is at a full 100º\º then i plug my earbuds in and start listening to " shape of you." I close my eyes but I can't sleep because i feel Daryl and Merle's eyes burning into my back. I pull my earbuds out and press pause on my music. I lookup at the two brothers and I ask "what were you guys before all of this?" Daryl and Merle look at me as though i have grown a second head. I got up to go change when i heard a soft mumble of a mechanic. I nodded my head and told them to get out while i changed Merle of course didn't want to and even called me sugar tits. I rolled my eyes at him and pointed to the tent door. He grumbled incoherent cuss words while walking out of tent. I changed into my outfit then I walked out of the tent.(outfit at top or side) My dad was by the fire with momma and Carl so I walk and sit down beside them. My dad pulls me in his tight embrace and questions"are Daryl and Merle treating you ok princess?" I look up at my dad and nod my head. He smiles diwn at me then gives me a kiss on my forehead. "Hey Rick we need to go on a run." Glenn yells over towards my dad. My dad got up and walked over towards him then Shane starts to walk over there. My dad looks up from talking and says"me, Glenn, Merle, and T-Dog are going for this run who else wants to go?" I look up and my dad is giving me a warning look but I raise my hand anyways daddy looks at mom and she nods. I get up and grab my crossbow than I walk over towards the group. Shane looks at my dad and says "man stay here your wound ain't fully healed and you need to rest so you don't get an infection." My dad was hestiant but after i told him I would be fine he nodded his head and told me to go. As we were boarding the truck my dad kissed my head and told them to watch over me even Daryl told me to be careful. I nodded my head and got in it was silent the whole ride until we parked infront of a Wal-Mart. Glenn looks over at me and says"look for food,water,and some clothes" I look over at Merle and he nods at me. We all bounded to the door like bats out of hell. And hoped that this would be a quick trip. Once we got inside we spilt up to what we were supposed to get. I headed to the canned foods that would last longer I was loading everything in my backpack when I heard a can fall. My head snapped to the end of the aisle where it came from and I could tell it was a human from the bag it was packing. The persons eyes met mine and when I got a better look I noticed it was my friend Ashely she looked at me before she started running at me.

At started to run to her and before you know it we were hugging each other." Omg how did you make it out of the school I didn't see you?" She asked me worried about me. I was about to answer when I heard the guys yelling for us to come on when we got outside to meet the rest of the group they were gone and walkers were around us. "Come on follow me Ash!" I yelled to her over the load groans and moans of the zombies. Ash and me started running west away from the camp. We ran until we came upon a forest and decided to go to sleep in a tree. 🔫🔫🔫next morning🔫🔫🔫 When me and Ash got up we headed towards our friends Maggie and Beth Greene's farm. When we finally got there we saw them sitting on their porch talking. They must've saw us from the distance because Maggie started running our direction we started running to. "Oml well i'll be damn if it isn't the Grimes and Higdon." Maggie said while walking towards us. Me and Ashely both laughed and soon Maggie joined in. When we approached the house Beth ran off the porch to hug us and so did Herschel. "Are you girls gonna stay with us?" Herschel asked us as he let go of our tight embrace. "Will that be ok if we stay?" I adked while looking to Herschel then to Ashley. He looked at us then laughed and said " you girls know you are always welcomed here." We both nodded our heads and made our way indide with the Greenes following behind or leading the front. When we got inside Patricia made me and Ash a bologna sandwich. I thanked her and walked out of the kitchen. I seen Otis had left to go hunting so I asked Herschel if I could take Nelly out. He told me I could tommorw so I nodded my head and walked up to my room when I got to spend the night and dreamed abouta better place.
