Two weeks have passed on Asgard, Dinah has grown closer to Loki. Loki has been teaching Dinah Asgardian and enjoying every moment of her education. Her ups, her downs, the way her face lights up when she says or writes a sentence or word perfectly. The way she struggles to pronounce certain words, all of her fumbles in learning are just as endearing to Loki as when she excels.
"Very good, Dinah. Now try this sentence here, 'Regnet faller forsiktig på fjellet.'" Loki purrs as the deep velvety voice of his influxes during certain parts of the sentence. "First translate it, then say it back to me." His green eyes dance as they glance between the book and Dinah's eyes.
Her bright eyes are completely fixed on Loki as she begins, "The rain falls gently...uh..." Dinah searches her memory for the words. "The rain falls gently upon the mountain!" Dinah looks to Loki for approval.
He smiles and nods towards her in favorable regard, "Perfect my-" He cuts himself off. "Good job, Dinah. You're getting better every day." Loki bashfully slithers away from Dinah. She is sitting sweetly at a desk with stationary and writing utensils towards the back of his cell. Undoubtedly a gift from Frigga.
Dinah quickly snatches Loki's wrist and his slender fingers as they trail behind him and stands to match his countenance. "Please, call me whatever you wish." Dinah bites her lip as she contemplates internally for the right words, "Dine form av hengivenhet gjør meg veldig glad." (Your terms of affection make me very happy) Dinah raises an eyebrow, "Did I say that correctly?" She chuckles softly, hoping she didn't make a fool out of herself.
Loki's eyes widen with astonishment at her sweet allowance for him to affectionately speak to her, and at her great command of the Asgardian tongue. "Marvelous, my darling." Loki's smile makes Dinah blush. "I hope me calling you such titles brings you no offense, it's just...I've grown so accustomed to your pleasant nature, you are so very dear to me, Dinah." Loki pauses as he nervously spills out his thoughts. He begins to twiddle his hands and fingers out of anxious habit. "Dinah, you..." Loki's eyes meet hers, hopeful and wanting, but he folds under the pressure, and refuses to finish his sentence.
"You are very dear to me, Loki." Dinah picks up on the awkwardness Loki can't seem to get passed, she extends her hand towards Loki, as if asking him to come closer and hold her hand. Of course he moves swiftly to her. "I want you to know these past few weeks or however long I've been here with you, have been wonderful. I love spending time with you." Dinah smiles sweetly. "And might I add, you are a marvelous teacher." Dinah winks in a playful manner.
Loki chuckles and intertwines his fingers with Dinah's. "Well, it helps that you are a sublime student." His pale skin starts to darken into a blush. "You are learning so swiftly, it's a mark of your intelligence, you are truly brilliant." Loki's emerald orbs pierce Dinah's blue optics, his nerves are no longer gnawing at him. "These past few weeks have been infinitely better than the first few days we met back on Midgard." Loki's voice is smooth and warm, holding genuine emotion for Dinah as he speaks. "You know, your eyes dance when you succeed at the Asgardian tongue."
