When Our Eyes Met

When we finally got across town and parked I look over to see Jerrett nearly throwing himself out of his truck to get away from Megan. Sabrina and giggle and get out. We all walk up the stairs I glance over to see that '2010' is their apartment number. Without knocking Jerrett just opens up the door and stomps in, Sabrina, Megan and I slowly follow behind. Jerrett happily says " What's up dude!" to his best friend. Jimmy is about average height and has darker hair with blue eyes with a couple freckles below them. He then introduces me then Megan to him. We all make our way to the couch and I can't help but notice that there's not much in their apartment yet, they only moved in about a month ago. As we are all talking I think about who the other roommates can be.

Time passes and suddenly the door slams open and I hear someone walk into the kitchen, that is right next to the door to the right. I lean forward and notice that it's David. He has blue eyes and beach blond hair, he plays hockey and is almost every girls crush. He took my moms cooking class all through Middle school. According to my mom he is like an " older brother to me " but we never really talked, just the occasional " hey I know you I guess " looks in the hallway during passing period. We all walked up to the bar and he was on the other side of it putting away some groceries. I make eye contact with him and he smiles and says with his voice that reminds you of a 'surfer dude' " Hey you're Ms. Cooks daughter! I loved your mom, she's super chill! " I laugh and start to add to the conversation. We make our way back to the couch and we get more comfortable with each other.

Time flies and the door opens again, I'm looking towards the hall curious to who the last roommate is going to be. He places his things at the bar and Megan goes " Oh hey Jake " along with Sabrina, Jerrett and Jimmy. I can't take my eyes off of him as he's placing down his last few things, shocked how I've never seen this guy before. Jake has dark blond hair and the bluest eyes you can imagine, he is pretty muscular and tall, he plays hockey and lacrosse. Before he walks over and takes a seat our eyes lock. I could almost feel my heart drop, still in shock that he went to my school and graduated with Sabrina, and to think I never even saw him around. I've never been a fan of smoking weed but the three roommates loved it, they all decided to smoke and offered me a hit but I refused. They ask Sabrina and Megan and they turn it down too.

I'm the type of girl who is pretty shy when it comes to talking to attractive guys but something got into me that night, I decided to get up and sit on the couches armrest just to talk to Jake. He was on his phone scrolling through Instagram and showed me some cool ski tricks that he was going to try once it hit winter. We talked for about an hour as he switched from app to app, at one point he was on Clash Of Clans and somehow I still made conversation. I told him that he should follow me on Instagram, he was too high to function so I just decided to follow him. When we left all I could think about was how attractive and funny he was. I was consistently checking my phone only to see he still hasn't followed me back. That night at Sabrina's I couldn't stop thinking about him.
