I remember that day like it was yesterday.  The day Jace became paralyzed from the waist down.  It was one of my memories that kept me going most of the time. Jace needed someone and I wanted to be there. Everyday.

Jace felt as if him being paralyzed was a burden to me and thats the only reason I was taking him into my care. Well, he's wrong.  But before I keep going, let me take you to where before this all happened.

I was arranging my bouquet of lilies and roses, when a brand new costumer walked in. Little did I know, that he would be my most common customer and would affect me with his charm. When the bell chimed at the door, i looked up and met deep brown eyes and a brilliant smile of a young man. Probably about twenty-five. Instantly my heart sped up like a school girl experiencing her first crush.

"Hello?..." he said. He waved his hand in front of me to get my attention.  My eyes blinked automatically.  "Yes, sorry. I got...distracted. " Ew! my voice cracked! He smiled an eye-to-eye smile, as if he knew what had caused my distraction.  "May I please have a bouquet of white lilies?" I nodded and went to the back where there was a small green house for my flowers to grow.  I grabbed a handful of lilies thinking to myself that they were beautiful and whoever the handsome guy at the counter was giving them to, was a very lucky girl.  "Here you go."

He took the flowers from me and smiled to himself.  He then looked up and around the shop.  "You have a very nice shop here." He walked around as if in awe by the different arrangements of flowers on the shelves. "Thank you, I try my hardest to keep the flowers as beautiful as possible,  even though they are naturally like that." I smiled.  Then I realized I carried on like an idiot.  Just say thank you next time!  "Just like your smile?" he said.  I looked at him, shocked.  Was he flirting with me?! Nope cant be true im imagining things. However I couldn't recover from what he said. "Uh...umm.."  I had no words, but I know my face is betraying me. He chuckled lightly and looked at the time on his watch.  "Well thank you for the lovely lilies,  I must be be going." I snapped out of it, smiled and watched him leave the shop. I didnt even notice him leave money in front of me. I whispered a small, "bye..", as his figure disappeared from sight.

He came back though. Actually he came to the shop once every week, ordering the same bouquet of lilies. As they say, curiosity killed the cat, my curiosity got the better of me one day. He didnt have a ring so I knew he wasnt married or engaged. Is it bad that I observe him that much? But I did assume that he had a girlfriend,  I mean hes good looking, why wouldn't he? This particular day, he wore a blue button up shirt, black slacks and black dress shoes. "Hey cherry. " he said sweetly. That was his nickname he started calling me these past few weeks. No thats not my name of course,  but I can guess he calls me that because of my red locks, I never asked. He smiled and ordered a bouquet of white lilies once again. As I walked to the back, I said, " You know Jace,  I never had a costumer order as much white lilies as you do. Is there someone special you have?" I walked back and gave him a small smirk. He laughed knowing I was teasing.  "Well, yes..."  My hopes dropped a little. Stupid! Hes going to notice your change in voice! He took the lilies and sighed, "they're for my mother."
