Clarke woke up the next morning smiling. As she got ready, she'd look back on the night before and couldn't help but grin and blush. She went down to breakfast with a bounce in her step. Upon seeing Bellamy, also heading to breakfast, she walked up next to him.
"Hey." She greeted. He smiled back.
"Hello there." He said before pecking her lips. She blushed lightly and they go to breakfast together, holding hands. "I wonder what your parents will say."
"Nothing not emberessing." She said.
"Ah, so it'll be like if we were going to see my mother." He compared.
"She's not that bad."
"No, she's worse."
"Bellamy!" She laughed.
"What? It's true! I'm either a soldier or a five year old to her." He said.
"My parents think of me as their little girl."
"And that's not emberessing to you?"
"Not as emberessing as the time she publicly annouced to every political leader we knew that Prince Wells and I were dating, even though we wernt, and I had to explain to everyone we were not romantic."
"Oh!" Bellamy said with a sour face.
"Yeah." She laughed.
"Did you ever become romantic?"
"Nope. I mean, he's great but I never loved him like that." She shrugged.
"Not like me?" He smiled.
"Not like you." She confirmed and they kiss again.***
Bellamy and Clarke walk in to the dining room and sit down together. Abby noticed them and commented.
"You two seem to be happy."
"We had a fun time." Clarke shrugged. They didn't really talk about what they were going to do about the marriage thing. Bellamy liked the idea but he still didn't want to pressure her. Clarke, ironically enough, was experiencing the exact same thing.
"Yeah, fun." Octavia murmured with a knowing smirk that turned Clarke's face red. No one else heard it but Bellamy and Clarke.
"You know, Clarke, your father and I have given you both a lot of time to decide if you'd be willing to combine kingdoms... I think it's time we have a dead line."
"Too when?"
"Next month." She set a time for her and Bellamy to come in and tell them.***
"So, we have a month." Clarke said as they both walked in her room.
"Yep. What are we going to do till then?" He asked, stepping close to her.
"We should talk about what we're going to do." Clarke giggled, keeping him at bay with a hand on his chest. He grinned and chuckled.
"Fine." Bellamy stepped back and nodded. "But I want to see at least one of your pieces of art."
"What?" She blushed.
"Please? I want to see your work." He begged. Clarke looked at him a moment and sighed. Tgen, she went through the papers on her desk to pull one out.
"Fine... but it's not very good." She handed it to him. He looked at it and his grin disappeared. It was the view of the kingdom from her balcony.
"Clarke... this is beautiful." He said honestly. "The sunset is anazing."
"It's easier to draw with colors." She smiled and he chuckled.
"Why do you keep it a secret," He asked.
"I don't know... it's just... private. I don't want everyone starting to demand I draw certain things. I wanna draw for me." She explained.
"I'm glad it makes you happy." He smiled. Clarke smiled back before taking the drawing and putting it back in its hiding place. "Ok. A deals a deal. Let's talk about marriage." He sat on her bed. She pulled up a chair.
"So what do you think?" Clarke asked.
"I think it's up to you."
"Me?"
"Clarke, I love you. You know I'm not just willing to marry you. I will without hesitation. But if you arnt ready, it's not happening." He said. Clarke thought about it. It was funny to her. How a year ago she couldn't imagine even tolerating his presence. She giggled. "What?" He grinned.
"Can you believe we hated eachother?" She asked. He chuckled.
"It's hard to remember." He admitted. Clarke got up and sat next to him on her bed.
"You know, we still got a month to think about it. I think we should take advantage of it." Clarke said and kissed him. He gave into the kiss quickly, not considering they were in her room on her bed. Bellamy ended up guiding her to lay on her bed.
"Oh, sorry!" Octavia said in horror. Bellamy sat up off Clarke.
"Dammit, Octavia!" He sighed.
"Sorry!" She said again before leaving. Clarke giggled.
"I'm glad you find this amusing." He rolled his eyes and laid back. Clarke laid partially on his chest with a smile.
"Sorry that we can't be alone for longer than fifteen minutes." She said.
"It's for the best." He sighed.
"I love you, Bellamy."
"I love you, Clarke." Bellamy smiled.***warning: very steamy Bellarke scene ahead so happy valentine's day 😉😈***
Bellamy woke up in Clarke's room. They must've drifted off while they talked. Clarke was asleep on his chest and he hated to move her but he thought he should go to his own room. It was dark outside so he figured they slept all day. He tried to move out from under her without waking her but she looked up at him with a groan.
"Sorry." He said, still getting up. "I have to go to my room to sleep."
"No you don't." She tried to convince.
"Clarke-"
"I trust you." She insisted. "I know you'd never hurt me. Just lay with me." She put her head back on his chest. He sighed and laid back for a moment. Clarke moved uncomfortably and sat up to start removing her corset. Bellamy sat up.
"Woah, what're you doing?"
"I can't sleep with this cursed thing on... would you help?" She asked and moved her hair to the side. Bellamy hesitated but did as she asked. Clarke slipped the thing off along with most of her clothes.
"Clarke!" Bellamy looked away. In nothing but a loose top and underwear, she laid back on the bed.
"What, don't like what you see?" She sighed, tiredly. He kept his glance away and started going to leave. "Bellamy." Clarke called. He paused. "I'm sorry, ok? I'll get under the sheets." She offered so he'd come back. Bellamy did come back and laid next to her. "Why are you afraid of sleeping with me?"
"Because I don't want to lose you." He answered honestly, looking in her beautiful blue eyes. Clarke moved closer to him and despite him being on top the sheets and her being below, she kissed him, placing her hand on his face. Bellamy let her deepen the kiss and eventually her hand was gripping his arm, pulling him closer. Clarke found her way out from under her sheets and on to Bellamy's lap. His back rested on her headboard. Clarke helped him take off his shirt before they looked at eachother a second. Clarke went to continue kissing when, "Wait. Clarke, stop. I need to tell you something." Bellamy was reluctant to say.
"What?" She asked.
"About my kingdom... the real reason my mother wanted me to marry- for us to marry was so our kingdom would... our economy is crashing... my kingdom needs the marriage for your kingdoms wealth." He spilt. Clarke considered what he said for a second.
"If you still hated me, would you still be willing to marry me?" She asked.
"...I... I don't know."
"That's why you won't sleep with me... because you feel guilty."
"I didn't want you to find out and think I never loved you... I don't want you to regret it." He played with a lock of her hair that fell over her shoulder.
"Do you love me?" She asked, questioningly.
"With all my heart." He said, softly.
"Ok... prove it. Prove it by letting me love you in return. You desurve that and more. After telling me that, I'd never regret sharing a night with you." She promised. He sighed in relief and they kiss. This time, he fully allows himself to enjoy it. His hands traveled her body making her feel amazing. He flipped her on her back and started kissing her neck, making her moan. Her now bare legs wrapped around his torso and Bellamy grunts in her neck with pleasure. When Clarke wasn't running her fingers through his hair, she was griping the backboard or the sheets. It really was the best night of their lifes.
***end of steamy scene haha***
The next morning, Clarke woke up to Bellamy fast asleep. A part of her felt like waking him up to tell him to get dressed before someone walked in but she didn't want to disturb him. She watched him breath. His chest rise and fall. His face was turned in her direction though he laid on his back.
"My lady, I have- oh!" Harper walked in.
"Yes, set the clothes down and leave." Clarke said nonchalantly. Harper did as she was told and left, feeling greatly confused. Bellamy woke up slowly.
"Who was that?"
"My maid. She's gone now."
"So we are alone again." He grinned and kissed her. She pulled away.
"Come on, we have to go eat." Clarke walked over to her clothes. Bellamy just watched her and smiled. "Like what you see?"
"Did I not make that clear enough?" He smirked before starting to get ready. They went to breakfast together and occasionally glanced at eachother. Octavia watched them and knew. Guess I am going to be an aunt. She thought quietly to herself.
***A month later***
"So, what's the verdict?" Clarke's father asked, smiling. Bellamy held Clarke's hand as a silent confirmation.
"We want to get married." Clarke finally said.***so I wasn't too sure if I should have added that much steamy Bellarke so yell me if I should do that for future fics cuz I feel like I'm dancing on a thin line 😂
