Okay, so if memory and history serves, Hitler's ideal race was pale skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. Of course people with sane mind should not support the lengths he went to in order to prove his point (mass murder, genocide, etc.) But it seems as though his veiws about the ideal race seeped into our veiws today, shocking as it is.

I notice in real life and books that often the beautiful person is portrayed with the above traits. When people wish they were beautiful, they wish they could have these characteristics. When people pair a person in their mind with the word 'beautiful' they think of a person with those traits.

Now, I know this isn't cut and dry for everyone, but this seems true for the majority. And I find it weird, almost slightly disturbing that pale skin, blue eyes and blonde hair composed Hitler's ideal race.

By the way, I'm not being racist, racism by definition is (I created my definition based on the ones created by Google, Merriam-Webster and Oxford because they all included the word 'race')

"Predjudice or discrimination directed to a person or persons because of bodily characteristics (such as skin color). Usually directed to persons because of the belief that said characteristics make them inferior humans."

So rather than being racist, I'm making an observation I notice in real life. Not everything in life can be marshmallows and gummy bears. Bad things happen, but rather than trying to overshadow them with nicities, we should acknowledge them and do our homework on them. As George Santayana said "Those who cannot rememeber the past are doomed to repeat it".
