Chapter 11

My arms wrap around his neck as he wraps his around my waist. For the first time, I'm happy to be in his arms, hugging him. Well, this is the first time I'm hugging him. But, I feel safe.

" I missed you." He whispers. For a quick second, I forget about what happen this morning. I forget about the third threat that was said to me.

Those memories are immediately substituted by the feeling of being safe and protected, "I missed you too Noah."

He gives me a tight squeeze before letting go.

"Are you okay?"

I didn't notice how uneasy I sounded.

"Yea." I nod, tucking my hair behind my ear, "I'm just really tired."

"You spent all night thinking about me?"

"Yea right." I playfully roll my eyes and start towards my class.

He catches up with me and takes my hand in his, intertwining our fingers which makes my knees weak all over again.

"I hope it's ok if I walk you."

"Of course."

While holding hands, we walk down the hall and turn the corner right into the stairwell.

"Do you want to go to the mall with me after school?" I ask randomly. I want him to be there while I pick an outfit for the party I'm forced to go to.

He looks over at me and smirks, "Yea, sure. Is there something you want to get?"

"Just a nice outfit. It's been awhile."

"I don't think I have the same taste as you."

I laugh at his obvious statement, " You're coming for mural support."

"Deal."

We walk up the first flight of stairs and turn the corner to go up the second, instead of seeing an empty flight of stairs, we see the one and only Juwany Roman with his blonde girlfriend. Kissing again.

It's actually funny because I thought he was mad at her? He seemed pretty pissed this morning when he told me what she kept from him.

But he looks pretty fine with. Or does she not know that he knows?

I look over to Noah and see him tensing up. Thinking fast on my feet. I walk in front of him and pull him with me in a flirtatious way, "Babeeee come on. We have to get to class." I walk up the stairs, still pulling Noah by his hand.

He catches  on pretty quickly, when we reach the top of the stairs, Noah grabs my waist and turns me around so that I'm facing him. I instantly wrap my arms around his neck. He winks before whispering, "Well, we can be a little late can't we?"

"But baby, I have that uptight teacher who yells at people for being in the hall without a pass." I say, referring to yesterday when Juwany got in trouble for skipping.

"I'm going to miss you." He mumbles

I feel his face getting closer, I stare into his green eyes. I think he's going to kiss me.

Is this too soon? I know we're kind of putting on and act and i know I said that we can act like we are dating but..I feel like this is too soon.

But still, I let him lean close. Matter of fact, I lean in too. And all of my doubts wash away as soon as our lips touch.

It's kind of cheesy to say that I feel  fireworks but I do. My legs feel like they're going to melt yet again. He pulls me closer to him which is as close as it's going to get.

His lips are so soft and a little bigger than mine. It feels like I'm kissing a pillow or a cloud. He then pulls away and I wince at the lost of his lips on mine. I'm not sure how long that lasted.

Juwany and Loren walk up the stairs, slowly.

"I'll miss you more." I respond before grabbing his shirt and kissing him again. I peek over to see if they were looking at us which they were.

Still walking as slow as a fucking snail.

I stop to look over at Loren, with a devious grin before saying,"Problem?" 

I mimicked the same moves she did yesterday, grabbing both sides of Noah's face and laughing as if it was the funniest shit I've ever said in my whole entire life.

Juwany bursts out laughing and Loren immediately punches him in the chest, "It's not fucking funny Juwany."

"She petty as hell." he responds in between breaths before cracking up again.

I look at Noah and he does the same to me. We share awkward glances before looking back at the two.

Loren punches him again and he puts his hand up in the air , "Chill."

"I hope you like my sloppy seconds bitch" she says as she pulls Juwany  with her up the stairs.

I quickly let go of Noah and turn around to go after her. I don't know what I'm going to do but all I know is I want to hurt her. At least once. One good slap.

Sadly, Noah grabs my waist before I can even take a step closer. So instead of hitting her I yell, " I hope you like fish Juwany because I can smell it from a mile away."

"See you in a couple minutes Gorgeous."  He winks.

I squish Noah's cheeks and peck his lips for the last time before turning back to Juwany, "Bye."

"You didn't have to do that." Noah says as the door shuts close.

"I know. But I wanted to."

"Well, thanks." He smiles.

I smile as well, still holding on to his shirt, "Plus I got to kiss you. That's a bonus."

He laughs, exposing his pearly white teeth, "Let me drop you off. You're going to be late."

With that we walk out the same way we came in, holding hands.
