We went quickly back to Mr and Mrs. Beaver's house. When we were almost there we heard a howl and I knew immediately that the police, which were wolves, were after us by order of the 'Queen' herself. "Hurry, Mother! They're after us!" Mr. Beaver told Mrs. Beaver as we burst into their house. "Oh, right then." Mrs. Beaver said and started grabbing things. "What's she doing?" Peter asked. "You'll be thanking me later. It's a long journey and Beaver gets pretty angry when he's hungry." Mrs. Beaver said. "I'm cranky now!" Mr. Beaver exclaimed. "We have to go! They'll be here any second." I told them. "Do you think we'll need jam?" Susan asked since she was helping Mrs. Beaver pack. "Only if the Witch serves toast!" Peter and I said at the same time and we looked at each other for a second after that. We were in a trance sort of thing, that got broken not three seconds later by a growl. "They're outside. What do we do?" I asked. The wolves were trying to get inside. "Tunnel!" Mr. Beaver exclaimed and we all got in it. Mr. Beaver first, then Peter, then Mrs. Beaver, then Lucy, then, Susan and then me. My powers were back, they were weak, but they were back, so just in case, I could hold them off. Lucy fell and Mrs. Beaver passed Peter. "Lucy." Susan said and we all stopped. We heard barking and Mr and Mrs. Beaver gasped. "They're in the tunnel." Lucy whispered. "Quick! This way." Mr. Beaver said. "Hurry!" Mrs. Beaver rushed. "Run!" Peter yelled as Susan whispered. "Quick, quick. Quick quick." We were running now. We made a few turns and we came to a dead end. "You should have brought a map!" Mrs. Beaver exclaimed. "There wasn't room next to the jam." Mr. Beaver argued. We turned around and there was a hole at the top part of the wall. Mr. Beaver and Mrs. Beaver went through. And then Susan and then Lucy. "Go." I told Peter. "You go first!" He exclaimed. Stupid men and their pride. "There's no time to argue!" I exclaimed as I went up the hole. Peter was right behind me and as soon as he got up, Mr. Beaver and him put a barrel in front of the entrance. Lucy fell over a bunch of stones and I immediately knew what they were. I had seen my sisters magic turn things into stone many times. Mr. Beaver turned around and saw what Lucy had tripped on. He was really sad and it showed on his face. Mr. Beaver went over to one certain statue and Mrs. Beaver followed. I stayed behind with Peter, Susan and Lucy. "I'm so sorry dear." Mrs. Beaver said to Mr. Beaver and he replied with. "He was my best mate." We started walking closer. "What happened here?" Peter asked. "My sister." I whispered so that only Peter heard. "This is what becomes of those who cross the Witch." A fox said, standing on a large rock. Peter pushed Susan, Lucy and I behind him. "Take one more step, trainer, and I'll chew you to splinters." Mr. Beaver threatened. "Relax. I'm one of the good guys." The fox said, jumping into the ground. "Yeah? Well you look an awful lot like one of the bad ones." Mr. Beaver accused. "An unfortunate family resemblance. But we can argue breeding later. Right now we've got to move." The fox told us and we heard the howling and barking, which meant they were close. "What did you have in mind?" Peter asked. The fox smiled and told us what to do. We very quickily, started climbing the tree. We went to the highest branch we could. Mr and Mrs. Beaver were on one and on the other it was me, the closest to the trunk, Peter, Lucy and then Susan. The wolves broke past the barrel and started circling the fox who had his head and head down in surrender. "Greetings, gents. Loft something, have we?" The fox asked. "Don't patronize me! I know where your allegiance lies. We're looking for some humans and the princess." The leader said. "I hate that title." I muttered quietly. Peter was the only one who heard me and put his hand on my arm in reassurance. The fox laughed and said. "Humans? Here in Narnia? That's a valuable piece of information, don't you think?" The lead wolf snarled and a different wolf bit and picked up the fox by his back. Lucy gasped and Peter was quick to put his hand over her mouth. Mrs. Beaver had to do the same thing to Mr. Beaver. "Your reward is your life. It's not much, but still." The lead wolf told him. "Where are the fugitives?" The lead wolf asked before he snarled at the fox as the fox whimpered. The fox looked up at us and we all were completely still. The fox sighed and said. "North. They ran north." "Smell them out." The lead wolf commanded and the wolf holding the fox threw him at the ground before they all ran off. I got down as quick as I could and I carried Fox over to the unlit fireplace. I sat him down and let Mrs. Beaver look at him. I summoned a fireball with my hand and though it was small it was still enough so when I threw it at the logs, it started a fire. Peter and Susan were looking at me in amazement. Especially Peter, though I didn't know that then.

"They were helping Tumnus. The Witch got here before I did." Fox suddenly started saying 'ow' and groaning. "Are you alright?" Lucy asked. Fox was getting stitches from Mrs. Beaver. I was sitting next to Peter and Susan. "Well, I wish I could say their bark was worse than their bite. Ow!" Fox exclaimed. "Stop squirming! You're worse than Beaver on bath day." Mrs. Beaver told Fox. "Worst day of the year." Mr. Beaver said and I gave a small, quick, quiet laugh. "Thank you for you're kindness...." Fox said, getting up. "But I'm afraid that's all the cure I have time for." "You're leaving?" Lucy asked. "It has been a pleasure, My Queen, and an honour, but time is short and Aslan himself has asked me to gather more troops." Fox told Lucy and Mrs. Beaver gasped. "You've seen Aslan?" Mr. Beaver asked. "What's he like?" Mrs. Beaver questioned. Fox chuckled and said. "Like everything we've ever heard. You'll be glad to have him by your side in the battle against the Witch." Fox said. "But we're not planning on fighting any witch." Susan said. "But surely, King Peter, the prophecy!" Fox exclaimed. "We can't go to war without you." Mr. Beaver said. It looked like Peter was hesitating, but with the look Susan gave him, he said. "We just want to get our brother back." Fox bowed his head at Peter and was about to leave when I said. "I'll still be there to help you fight. If that counts for anything." Fox turned back and said. "Of course that counts for something. Thank you, Queen Athena." I must have looked surprised because Fix asked. "Are you okay?" "Y-yeah. I just didn't realize I was going to be a queen as well." I told him. He chuckled and then bowed his head at me before he left.

We were walking and it was just passed dawn, when we stopped on a cliff. Mr. Beaver was beside Mrs. Beaver who was beside me, who was beside Peter, who was beside Lucy who was beside Susan. "Now, Aslan's camp is near the Stone Table, just across the frozen river." Mr. Beaver told us. "River?" Peter asked. "Oh. The rivers been frozen solid for a hundred years." There was a pause as we all looked at how far we had to go. "It's so far." Peter said. "It's the world, dear. Did you expect it to be small?" Mrs. Beaver asked. "Smaller." Susan answered, looking at Peter before she started walking. We all continued walking as well.

Later on in the day we were walking along a snowy very flat piece of land. There was no trees or anything. Mr and Mrs. Beaver were in front. Susan were a few feet behind him, Peter and I were walking side by side a few feet behind her and Lucy was a foot or two behind us. "Come on, humans! While we're still young." Mr. Beaver rushed us. It was funny the first couple times he did it but now it was just annoying. Susan waited for us and Peter crouched down so Lucy could get on his back. "If he tells us to hurry one more time, I'm going to turn him into a big fluffy hat." Peter said and we all laughed at that. Now Susan was on the other side of Peter and Lucy was on his back. "Hurry up! Come on!" Mr. Beaver yelled. "He is getting a little bit bossy." Lucy said. "Behind you! It's her!" Mrs. Beaver warned. Peter swung Lucy off his back in a way that was quick and she wouldn't get hurt. She was in between Susan and Peter. Peter grabbed Lucy's hand with his left hand and my hand with his right and we ran. Susan was ahead of us. "Run! Run!" Mr. Beaver yelled and Peter yelled a long. "Run!" We ran and after a minute we hit the beginning of the woods. There was a little cave/shelter thing at the side of the hill/cliff and Mr. Beaver said. "Inside! Inside!" "Quick, quick, quick, quick!" Mrs. Beaver rushed us. We were inside in this order, Susan (with Mr. Beaver in front of her), Lucy, Peter, me (with Mrs. Beaver in front of me). We heard the jingling of the sleigh come to a stop and someone got out of the sleigh. Snow was kicked over the edge and we saw their shadow. Then they walked away and there was a jungle. We waited a minute and then Lucy said. "Maybe she's gone." "I suppose I'll go look." Peter said and Mr. Beaver and I said at the same time. "No!" "You're worth nothing to Narnia dead." Mr. Beaver said. "Well, neither are you, Beaver." Mrs. Beaver told him. "Thanks sweetheart." Mr. Beaver said, holding her hand before he left to go look. I was worried because I knew what Jadis would do if she found him. We heard footsteps and suddenly Mr. Beaver popped his head in from above. Lucy shrieked. "Come out! Come out! I hope you've all been good 'cause there's someone here to see you!" We all smiled in relief and confusion and got out. Who we saw standing in front of the sleigh didn't surprise me since I had met him before. He chuckled merrily. We all stood in front of him and Lucy was grinning. I was on Peters left, Lucy was on his right and Susan was beside Lucy. "Merry Christmas, sir." Lucy said to Santa as she walked up to him. "It certainly is, Lucy, since you have arrived." "Look, I've put up with a lot since I got here, but this..." Susan said. "We thought you were the Witch." Peter told him as we walked up beside Lucy. "Yes, yes, I'm sorry about that, but, uh, in my defence l, I have been driving one of these longer than the Witch." "I thought there was no Christmas in Narnia." Susan said as she walked up beside Lucy. "No. For a long time. But the hope that you have brought, Your Majesties......" He said looking towards Lucy, Susan and Peter before he turned to me. "And the hope you have shown people, by showing them that it's possible to be a prisoner of the Witch and still be on Aslan's side, is finally starting to weaken the Witch's power. Still, I dare to say you could do with these." Santa said and at the very end, he grabbed his big bag of toys and lifted it off the sleigh. "Presents!" Lucy exclaimed running up to Santa. He grabbed two things from his bag and showed Lucy.
