E.12: Feelings

Takeru's POV:

After calming ourselves down, we headed down to a nearby theme park to enjoy the rest of the day. Unfortunately, though I promised her to go there...yup, I'm lost...

"Hmm...it seems that we're lost. Do you know where is the theme park?" Yumika smiles sweetly and offers some help.

Scratching my head in embarrassment, I decided to accept her hand of help. She quickly give the shortest direction to our destination. Well, I wouldn't doubt Yumika's sheer intelligence since she knows every part of the town.

And as we arrived at the theme park, Yumika quickly dragged me to her favorite ride...

"Hu-huh? Whe-where are you ta-taking me?"

"Hehehe...I'm gonna taking you to the best ride you will ever ride on! The rollercoaster! Huehehe!" Yumika giggles at me and puts an evil grin.

We go inside a huge compound...with some rails that as high as a tall building...and it loops around in so many angles...

"Don't worry about a thing. You're strapped in a seatbelt so there's will be no accidents."

As the rollercoaster begins its ascent...I begin to feel some fear inside of me...as if my spirit flies away from the earth...well, since this is the first time to ride this rollercoaster...

But then suddenly, those feelings change...we are nearly reached the top of the rails...adrenaline begins to rush all over my body...as if my hidden spirit of adventure begins to show...telling me that there's nothing I could fear about it...

"Woooohooo!!!"

The rollercoaster slides down fast...while I raised my hands high in the air and shouts in a fit of adrenaline rush...one of the things that I should experienced before! Yeah! I feel so refreshed! I feel so alive!

"Woah! Takeru-kun! Ehehehe...I never seen you so happy before, huh?" Yumika notices my sudden change of mood.

"Well, I found the best ride that I want. Come on, Yumi-chan! Let's find something else exciting!"

Just before Yumika could speak something, I'm the one who dragged her into my next ride of choice...a haunted house! Huehehe!

"Umm...Ta-Takeru, wha-what are we doing here?" Yumika seems to be frighten by what we are about to enter. "Ple-please don't go here...we can enter anything but this!"

"Hmm? What are you talking about?" I still have that adrenaline rush inside me. "Come on, it won't be that bad. Just trust me."

Yumika doesn't speak anymore as we enter the dark chamber. She clings at my back in fear...

"Yumika?"

"Hu-huh? Ye-yes, Ta-Takeru?" Yumika stutters.

"Do you know that there's a lot of mysteries that surrounds my town? They say that there's a lot of evil spirits lur-"

"EEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!"

And before we knew it, things starts to appear before us: ghosts, vampires, werewolves and so much more. At first, Yumika endured all of this scary things...until she finally broke down and run out of the house, sobbing....

"Takeru-kun...sniff...how could you...you're so meany to me!" She scolded me as she shed some tears. "You should never bring me to a place like that!"

I just smiled at her and comforted her...as I bring her to the last place that I want to ride with her...the ferris wheel.

There's an awkward silence as we ascend...but within moments...

"...pffft....EHEHEHEHE!!!"

"Hmm? What's so funny, Yumi-chan?" I smiled with her.

"Ehehehe...gosh. I'm so stupid." Yumika giggles and blushes a bit. "I might get embarrassed after sobbing in front of many."

"Well, cheer up, Yumika. If somebody will mock you because of it, I will beat them up!" I winked at her in reply.

"Oh...that's really nice of you. Thanks, Takeru-kun. Hehehe!" Yumika smiles sweetly at me and giggles. Within the few moments, we reached the top of the ferris wheel...

"WOOOOW!!!!"

We saw a beautiful scene of the sunset...the glorious rays of this...large glowing ball...colored the entire city...the day's last hurrah before the darkness engulf thereafter.

"Let's go home, Takeru-kun."

"Sure."

Though exhausted, we happily ride home through Yumika's bicycle. As we collide with the gentle and refreshing breeze, I saw Yumika smiling...as she holds some pictures of us that she take immediately before we go home...

"Click!" Suddenly, Yumika's bicycle jammed and stops from running.

"Hmm! Takeru-kun! I told you that you should be careful with my bicycle!" She then pouts at me.

"Oh, wait a minute..."

Since I have rode a bicycle before back in my town, I glanced down to check what is going on...I see that the chain that makes the bicycle has been broke off..

"I see...let me fix that for you..." I quickly fixed the chain back together before I go back in pedalling Yumika's bicycle.

"Hmm...you're such a wonderful friend, after all." I see Yumika smiling at me. "I have introduced Kanagawa City to you. The next time that we hang out, you're the one who will treat me, okie?"

"Yes, Yumi-chan."

I walked Yumika back to her apartment before heading home to take some dinner, already prepared by Akira for me.

"How's your date...oh, I mean your hangout with Yumika?" My sister asks me.

"Well, it turns out to be so good...and also, we're not dating!" I pouted back at her.

"Ehehehe...my bad. It's just that you're getting close to her already." Akira scratches her head in embarrassment.

The conversation went on and on...telling her about how I treat my neighbor friend so nicely today. After those lively conversation, I retired into my room...and into the balcony. Once again, I gaze my eyes to the city that we've visited with Yumika. Little by little...I'm starting to appreciate the city of Kanagawa...its lights that flashes before my eyes...and the sounds that is pleasing to my ears. Perhaps...I might enjoy my stay here...huh?

Then, the rope that hangs from above my balcony begins to move...then a lady appears to descend. When I notice that she has a long brown hair...that's when I realized that she is Yumika.

"Oh! Let me help you, Yumi-chan." I cling to her legs so she could climb down to the railings safely. My little neighbor friend descends slowly until she lands safely into the palm of my hands.

"Thank you, my kind friend. Hehehe!" Yumika flirts and giggles.

"No problem, neighbor friend." I replied with a smile. "So...how's our first hangout together?"

"Hey! I should be asking that! Hehehe!" Then Yumika tells the truth. "But you know...although I'm the one who invited you to tour around town...but I'm the one who is more enjoyed than you do. I have so much fun! Even I tasted a spicy treat...and tour me in a scary house, you really treat a lady like me so nicely. I'm looking forward for hanging out with you next time, okie?"

Yumika then winks at me...her wink struck me hard. Her cute looks...her beautiful long hair...and her glamorous outfits...I've never liked somebody more than everybody else...more particularly, I've never liked a girl before...until now...

I'm starting to like Yumika...

"Hmm? What's the matter? Why are you blushing? Hehehe!" She smiles sweetly at me and giggled.

"Oh! It's no-nothing!"
