E.10: Weekend

Yumika's POV:

"Riiinnnggg!!!"

I heard my alarm clock ringing early in the morning but...

"...hnnng...." I'm so lazy to sat up and look at the clock...ugh...my bed's keeping me lazy! With my head still sunk over my pillow...I used my hand to snooze my alarm...and return to slumber...zzzzz...but then...

"EEEEEEK!!!" I quickly got up in frenzy, my hair's messy and I still had something over my eye. "OH NO! WHA-WHAT TIME IS IT?!?! I'M GONNA BE LATE AGAI-"

I looked into my alarm to check the time...it's seven in the morning, but I realized that it is now Saturday, a weekend!

"Hehehe! I'm such a paranoid!" I said to myself. "It's already a weekend, there's nothing much I would do...except that...there's something special that I would do for Takeru...alrighty, let's get myself prepared!"

Well...my interview on Takeru on the position that he wants to apply in the student council went pretty well; even I asked the toughest questions, he can handle it. The decision on whether he is accepted in the council will be out by next week, but I'm confident that he will make it through the cut. See...even he's my neighbor friend, that does not stop me from bring strict at him. Hehehe!

And to reward him on completing two challenges in his first week in Hoshizora Academy, I'm gonna get him a treat by touring the Kanagawa City! Hehehe!

I quickly stand up and fixed my bed...then take a bath and changed my clothes. My favorite mix of clothes: white uniform and pink cardigan sweater, black socks and pink sneakers.

Within minutes, I left my apartment, bringing along with me is three slices of sandwich bread. I go downstairs into the door of Takeru's apartment...just in time that my neighbor friend has come out of that door.

"Onee-chan, I'm leavin-whoa!" Takeru's startled when he saw me in front of him. "Yumi-chan, you really scared me."

"Ehehehe...my bad." I scratched my head and giggled. "Let's go now, Takeru-kun!"

"Hehehe! Okay!" Takeru accepts my offer then turns to Akira again. "Onee-chan, I'm gonna leave now with Yumika."

"Okay!" Then, I heard Akira whispered something. "Ehehehe...these two might be more than just neighbor friends!"

In the meantime, Takeru and I are about to board my bicycle...

"Takeru-kun, hop in! We have a lo-"

"Yumi-chan!" Takeru disrupts my invitation.

"Hmm? What is it?"

"How about I pedal the bicycle for you?" Takeru smilingly offered me.

"Hmm? This is your day, so you should take a rest and let me do the pedaling. But...since you insist, then go ahead. Just don't break my bike, okie?"

"Yes, Yumi-chan." Takeru replies as he helped me rode at the back of the bike. After that, he starts to drive the bike. I felt the cool breeze as I allow my neighbor friend pedal our way into the city center.

"Today, you are my master. You can go to any place that you want, I will just follow you and guide you. But there's one rule that you should follow: don't go to some place that would compromise the both of us, okie?"

"Yes, Yumika!"

"Well then, let me introduce to you the beautiful and colorful city of Kanagawa! Hehehe!!" 

Within moments, we have arrived at the city center, where buildings and skyscrapers alike dominated the skyline. I can see Takeru marveled by various placards and lights that he can see...

"Takeru-kun! Focus on where will we go, okie? Hehehe!!!" I just can't stop from looking at him and giggle! Hehehe!

And so, he decided to stops by at a popular gaming arcade. I expected that given that I know boys always go to arcade every weekend. Good thing that I still have some tokens in my sweater pocket that will allow us to play. I gave it to Takeru so he has a lot of games and rides to choose from. I followed him as he quickly enters the arcade like a child.

"Yumi-chan! Yumi-chan! Let's try this!"He then points in a racing game machine, some of the things that perhaps he didn't see before.

"Hehehe! Sure, are you challenging me?" I boasted and giggled, then approached the machine to teach him how to use it. "Okay, you just control the joystick...then the buttons up here...oh yeah, you need to combine your moves to move the car, okie?"

"Yup, let's do this!"

The racing game began, but it seems that Takeru has already learned the basic of the game...and get a hang of it. While I take this game nicely, Takeru is very serious in playing the game. The racing competition becomes too tight for both of us...until...

"Yes! I win! I win!" Takeru shouts in joy. "Yumi-chan! I won the racing game!"

"Hehehe! Congrats, Takeru-kun! You've learned the game so fast, huh?" I shake his hand. "Okay, so where should we go next?"

Takeru silently walks with me...then changed direction to a huge machine which is taller than me...well it's a machine which has arms inside to get some stuff toys out.

He then puts some tokens in the machine. He controls the joystick that controls an arm inside so he could get something and bring it down at the chute so he could get it...he then gives me two small round plushie keychains, just like the ones that he...umm...soiled in the first day of classes

"Here you go, Yumi-chan." 

"Really? I-Is this for me?! Thank you so much! Hehehe!!!" I'm so happy about what he just gave to me. "Don't worry, when I washed my plushie keychains, I'll give it to you, okie?"

After playing with two arcade machines, Takeru seems to ran out of choices to deal with, even there's a lot of games that he can pick 

"Oh, Yumi-chan. If you have something that you want to play, you can do it now." Takeru tells me. "Well, perhaps when you play something, I might get an idea."

"Hehehe! Sure thing."

Without any hesitation, I grabbed Takeru's hand and dragged him into a nearby dance game machine. I put on my last remaining tokens into it and choose my favorite song to dance.

As the tunes begins to play, I see Takeru watch me dance...ehehehe...he was astonished as I still memorize the moves of the song...along with some spectators gathered around and watched me.

I may working in the student council today, but if I haven't that job, I'm pretty sure I will be in Hoshizora Academy Idol Club! Hehehe!

Here I go!

After all the singing and dancing the whole song out...cheers and applause filled the atmosphere, especially Takeru...who claps the loudest...perhaps he is so proud of me.

"Wooow!!! You're so cool, Yumi-chan!" Takeru seems astonished by my talent. "How did you pull out that dance?"

"Oh! Ehehehe...it's nothing. I just saw this in the internet. I got hooked with it and practice dancing and...there. Hehehe!"

"Coool!" I can see sparkles in Takeru's eyes right now. "How about we take a rest in a restaurant and eat something that will fill you up."

"Geez, that's really nice of you. Thanks! Hehehe!" Then I hold Takeru's hand and started to drag him to the restaurant. "Come on! Let's go!"
