E.7: Bicycle Ride

Yumika's POV

...snuffle...aaah...

The smell of cool and refreshing morning air greeted me as I open the window of my apartment. This is the first thing I do very morning upon waking up after a refreshing sleep. It always reminds me that every day should always begin with positivity.

Alright, let's get to work! I immediately go to bath and change my clothes to my school outfit. Then, I make my food for breakfast and lunch, which has a seperate dishes. For lunch, it will be pork tonkatsu with my secret recipe sauce. Hehehe! And for breakfast today, it will be the classic bacon and eggs with rice.

After breakfast and fixing my things for school, I'm walked to the entrance and wear my favorite pink sneakers. I'm living alone in my apartment since my parents are always out of country for their business trips. Despite that, they always call me every night to check on me. It always take more than two hours, and that's shows that they always care for me even they're abroad.

 "I'm off!" I keep saying that upon leaving the house even I'm alone. Ehehehe...that's what I always when I'm off to school before my parents gone abroad. Don't worry about me, though. I know they leave for work just for me, and I'm proud of them.

Having that aside, I have a new mission to do:

"Takeru-kun! Takeru-kun!" I came knocking at the door of my new friend Takeru. "Takeru-kun, we're leaving now! I thought you wanna join in my ride to school?"

The door flung open, and Takeru's sister Akira comes out.

"Oh! Yumika-san. Can't you wait a little bit?" Akira asked my shyly. "He woke up a bit late this morning."

"Oh! Don't worry. It's a bit early so I can wait." I smiled at her to cheer her up.

Well, I can understand Takeru. It's the first time he comes out pretty early so that he can come with me to school.

Moments later, a shadow emerges from the apartment. And from there, Takeru appears, busy in wearing his uniform hurriedly.

"Onee-chan, I'm leaving!" He then cries out to his sister, telling of his departure.

"Okay! Take care of yourself!" Akira's voice quickly replies back. "Yumika, you're in charge on Takeru, okay?"

"Yes, sis!" Then I turned to Takeru as we gow down the stairs and towards my bicycle. "Hey, fix your uniform, okie? You don't want to be embarrassed in class in that messy look, don't you?"

"Yes, mam!"

I hopped on my bicycle first...then Takeru stands on a standing platform attached beside the backwheel of my bike. And as he hold on to my shoulder...I start to pedal our way to school.

"Yumi-chan?" He then calls me with curiosity.

"Hmm? Yes, what is it?" I replied at him with a sweet smile.

"I remember you told me last night when you're with us, that you live alone, right?"

"Yup, that's right. Why is it?" 

"I always wonder why you're always happy even you're leaving alone?

"Oh! I see. Hehehe!" Then I explain to him. "Well, my parents are out abroad for business trips so basically I'm alone in my house. However, they always call at me every night, checking my situation and always boasting me of the tourists spots that they visited. Nevertheless, they supported me in every way I go."
